The mines

The trek leading to the coal mines is quite long, but they finally arrive. The entrance is covered with thick vines and big roots of an old tree guarding over it. Grim states, "You wanna go inside THERE? It's pitch black!" Ace taunts, "What, ya' scared, raccoon?" Grim claims, "Naanh!? I'm not s-scared at all! I bet you're the one who's scared, stupid jerk!" Ace rebuts with, "Oh, you want a rematch, pipsqu—" Deuce shouts, "We aren't here to argue!" He steps in between the two claiming, "All we need to do is find a magic crystal and bring it back to the Headmaster!  We can bicker later." Ace mocks Deuce with, "Who put you in charge? Huh?" Grim scoffs, "I don't take orders from lowly humans!" I give the three of them death glares and say, "Stop ..." They all stop arguing. Ace relents at the glare, "Fine.  Fine!  Let's just get the crappy crystal and get out of here."

"I'm taking the lead! You guys follow me!" I call out to Grim, "WAIT!!" Grim stops in front of the cave, and I reply, "Stay still for a moment ..." I place the Pickaxe on the ground, take two of the unlit torches and place them over Grim's ear flames, and hand them to the two boys. I take the third torch and light it as well, and then I pick up the pickaxe.

"There, that way we can see ..." I claim. Ace asks, "What's with the pick?" I stare at him dumbly and state, "To mine the stone ..." We all go into the cave. As we continue on, Deuce states, raising his hand to stop us from moving, " Huh? Hold up!" Ace whines, "What now?" Deuce states, "There's something there!" I sense a familiar yet different presence approaching us. Grim shrieks as Ace shouts, "WHAT?!" Two ghosts appear in front of us; one claims, "Hee hee hee hee! Visitors! The first in ten years!" and the other states, "Do make yourselves at home ... You can stay forever!"

Ace groans with his face pale as winter snow, "This place is haunted by ghosts, too! Great!" Deuce states, "We don't have time to deal with them one by one. Let's go!" Deuce's tone is firm and demanding, which pisses Ace off because the ginger snarls viciously at the blue-haired boy. "Don't think you can just order me around! If you hadn't done something so idiotic, we wouldn't be in this mess." I facepalm, and Deuce snaps, "You wanna talk about who started it? It's because you wouldn't clean!" Ace states, "It started when that furball burned the Queen of Hearts' statue!" Grim shouts, "Myah?! Maybe you shouldn'ta made fun of me, then!"

Deuce hisses, "All of you! Do you understand our situation right now? We're all expelled if we don't get back with a magestone by tomorrow morning!" Ace shouts, "Yeah, we know, so stop patronizing me. It's f*cking ticking me off."

I hold the pickaxe to my chest, give a creepy smirk and let off quite a bit of bloodlust at the trio. The ghosts flee because they get scared of me, and the trio turns to me pale, trembling, yet ready to fight. I state, "I have had enough of your childishness, boys. I didn't get thrown into a different world with trauma and a missing date with Death for this shitty show. One more f*cking argument, and I will make sure these pretty mouths never get to speak another word."

Deuce shouts concernedly, "D-Death??!!" Ace asks, "What do you mean ano-" I interrupt, "Ne~ Did. I. Stutter??" They both stay quiet. I hear, " ... iiivvv ... ... oooouuu ..." I ask, "Did you hear that, Grim?" He whimpers and nods his head. I swear, "Dammit ... Something's here!" We hear as it gets closer, "... on't .... ive ... wo ..." Ace asks, "Wh-where's that comin' from?" It states even clearer, "St ... one ... ssss ...... Mine ..." Deuce states, "Sounds like ... it's getting closer ..." It yells out, "Stonessss ... Stooonesss aaare MIIIIIIIIIIINNNEEEE!!" The scream reignited all the other torches around the area and where we came from.
