2021 was a turbulent year for Max and Kaycee. 2022 won't be much smoother that's for sure.

When I woke up again my head was resting on Charles' chest and his arm was wrapped around me. It was probably one of the best nights sleep that I'd had in months, there something about being close to someone again that was so soothing.
I gently sat myself up trying to make sure i didn't wake him.
"Don't know about you but I slept well" Charles chuckled from behind me which caught me off guard.
As i turned to look at him he was rubbing his eyes and had a faint smile on his face. I don't know why i did it but i laid back down resting my head on his chest again. It was comforting and i liked it.
Charles put his arm back round me and stoked my shoulder as we laid together talking.
We didn't even talk about it, i guess there wasn't any need to. Nopthing had happened between us we both just fell asleep whilst watching a film, clearly it wasn't a big deal.

Eventually we decided to get up and go to have breakfast. Me and Charles sat eating in silence, I didn't think into it too much, it wasn't like it was intentional i think we were both just comfortable in each others company that we didn't need to fill the silence with meaningless conversation.
"So we have a proposal for you both" Katerina announced as her and Pierre came to join us. Charles and i shared a confused look.
"She wants you both to come Skiing with us next week" Pierre chuckled clearly noticing the confusion on our faces.
"Yeah im in" Charles said, he was practically beaming it was quite cute to see, he turned to look at me waiting for my answer.
"I can't skii" i replied awkwardly, i genuinely couldn't think of anything worse than trying to co-ordinate my clumsy self down snow slopes.
I thought that would be enough to get me out of going.
"Im not surprised" Charles replied with a smug look on his face. I kicked him under the table but he didn't even react.
"Im not taking no for an answer" Katerina said smiling before going on to describe all of the plans she was going to make for us all.
The more she went on to tell me about it the more i was coming around to going, it sounded like it was going to be really fun. Charles even suggested inviting his brother Arthur and his girlfriend Carla.
