I calmed down after a while and the more I thought about it I realised I might have slightly overreacted which is something I tended to do quite often recently.

After a few days I tried to call Max expecting we could just talk and get over it but he never picked up, I really had made such of mess of all of this and pushed him away just like he said I was.

I couldn't help but think he'd probably come to his senses and realised that he was better off away from all of this drama.

I'd spent all morning moping around in bed, not having the energy to do anything. I was just about to doze off back to sleep when Emilia came barging into my room with a beaming smile on her face

"Get ready" she said as she hung up a dress on the back of the door. I didn't have any plans today I knew that for sure so I was pretty confused. 

"where are we going?" I asked as I cautiously sat myself up in the bed.

Emilia smirked and winked at me "It's a surprise" she replied before quickly leaving.

As I got myself ready still clueless about what was happening deep down I hoped it had something to do with Max. I knew he'd definitely be back from Japan by now and all I wanted was to see him.

"Close your eyes" Emilia said as we got out of the car, I quickly glanced around to see if I could see anything then I reluctantly closed my eyes and walked cautiously with her making sure I had a tight grip on her hand.

"You can open them now" Emilia whispered next to me.

As I opened my eyes I was presented with a crowd of people shouting surprise at me. The room was beautifully decorated with subtle pink decorations and balloons.

"it's your baby shower" Emilia proclaimed nudging me slightly. I was completely lost for words.

As I looked around I spotted the only person I was really looking for, there was Max standing at the back behind everyone.

He made his way towards me smiling briefly "Max I" I started to speak but he just shook his head and interrupted me

"we'll talk later okay" he said flashing me a quick smile before moving to one side for people to greet me.

After I'd said hello to everyone and engaged in pleasantries for as long as I could manage I quietly sat myself down just trying to bring myself back down to earth, although it was all so amazing it was also extremely overwhelming at the same time. Emilia came to sit next to me, I could tell by the look on her face that she had home truths to tell me.

"He did all this for you" she said looking over toward Max "He didn't go near Kelly and I know that for sure because he was with me planning this" she continued and looked at me with a frustrated look on her face.

I couldn't help but feel extremely guilty yet again he went to such efforts for me and I'd pretty much thrown it in his face.

"Talk to him, he's checked in everyday to see how you were" I looked over to Max as he stood with my dad and Brandon talking. His eyes met mine briefly but he quickly looked away, I hated this.

"I need some air" I muttered quietly before getting up to head outside.

I just needed a moment by myself. Someone came up behind me, wrapping their arms around me. I didn't need to turn to see who it was I could just feel that it was Max straight away.

I leaned myself back against him and sighed "a bit overwhelming?" causing Max to chuckle.

He didn't sound angry or frustrated like I expected and as always he seemed to know exactly what I was thinking or feeling without me even having to say it. I nodded and Max placed a hand on my stomach stroking it gently.
