Emilia's (POV)

I stood there for a moment after Kaycee slammed the door in my face in complete disbelief. She'd always become really harsh when she was like this but this time around it was 10x worse then I'd ever experienced. I really couldn't understand why she was completely shutting me out. Every part of me wanted to bang on the door and make her talk to me but i decided against it, i didn't want to agitate her anymore then i already had. I just hoped tomorrow would be a more positive day.

In the morning Kaycee was still flat out after everyone else had left for the track, I waited for her to wake up for as long as I could but in the end i had no choice but to go in and wake her up myself which was so much harder than i thought it would be. She was practically unconscious. In the end i picked up the glass of water next to the bed and threw it over her which finally woke her up. She woke up in such a panic and to be honest it felt kind of nice to get her back for slamming the door in my face. "Get up" I snapped at her as I pulled open the curtains. "Fuck off Em" she replied as she stormed towards the bathroom clearly unhappy with how I'd woken her up.
She took a lifetime getting ready but at least when she finally came down she looked presentable and not like she was practically falling apart. I chose not to stay anything, it really wasn't worth the argument. At least she was out of bed and coming to the track. We didn't talk the whole way there she just sat with her head resting against the door and her eyes closed. It wasn't until we got out the car that I notice how unsteady she was on her feet. I locked eyes with Kaycee and before I could even say anything she rushed off towards the paddock, for someone that was so ridiculously out of it she moved so fast I could barely keep up with her.
As she walked past Max he took a second look and grabbed her arm saying something to her. I was too far back to hear what he said but from Kaycee's reaction I could tell she wasn't happy about it. She ripped her arm from his grip and stormed off straight into the Ferrari garage. I couldn't deny she was smart she knew full well that neither me or Max would follow her into there. Once I caught up to Max I could see how concerned he was by the look on his face. "Fucking hell is she already out of it?" he spoke quietly so that no one else could hear our conversation. "I think so" i sighed back. I really didn't have anything else to say i was just glad that she was at the track which meant i could keep an eye on her and not have to worry about where she was all day.
