I sat with my hands and ankles in chains, Usopp and Brook complaining the whole time while Zoro and I were silent.

"How are you two so freakin' calm right now?" Usopp squeaks.

"I can breathe underwater," I casually remind him. He sighs heavily and ignores me as he turns to Zoro. "And you?"

"He's hatching a plan to get us out, I'm sure!" Brook enthusiastically says.

"Nope," Zoro admits. Usopp and Brook fall back against the small metal cage and I look down at the water that's filling quickly.

"Alright Brook, do the soul thing." The skeleton swivels to look at me, confused for a moment before he realizes what I mean.

"Oh, right!"

"The 'soul thing'?" Usopp and Zoro both ask. Brook then proceeds to have his soul exit his body, all color from his clothes and life that once filled his skeletal remains draining into a green floating ball of gas that replicated his soul. I closed my eyes as I listened to Usopp bickering about everything going wrong. I haven't time skipped in two years now. Would I be able to do it now? Would it affect anything? Would it affect me?

"Come on, May!" I opened my eyes immediately and saw Zoro holding out his hand to me. "Let's go!" I time skipped before I could even remember how to do it. How ironic, really. I gripped his hand and felt my body get tugged into the water, shooting through the current with Brook, Usopp, and Zoro. I could see the ship ahead, Sanji locking eyes with me immediately.

"Maylene!" He yells with practical hearts in his eyes. "Welcome back to the ship! Are you okay? Are you hungry?" He hounded questions at me, making me sigh and push his face to get away from me.

"Thanks, Sanji, but I'm good," I comment while walking towards the living quarters I shared with Luffy. "Head towards the planned area. I need to change into something more... maneuverable." They nod in understanding before Franky steers the ship back to where the battle would be. By now, Luffy should be expelled from Megalo's mouth and knocked Hody out. I reached into the chest that held my clothes and rummaged through them until I found an outfit I was looking for. I smiled, remembering when Shanks convinced me to buy this for a trip to a swordsman-based island. I didn't purchase any swords, but I loved the outfit for the occasion. The purple Kimono worked fine with my sword fighting and the unitard was a perfect shade of black. Plus, the color scheme matched my sword so that's a bonus. I pulled my hair up into the black hair bandana I had bought from a shop on the island before going back to the main deck.

"That's a really nice look on you, May!" Sanji immediately calls me. "Beauty like yours goes unmatched!"

"You know, you'd think that with you being Luffy's girl and all he'd back off," Franky comments. I can't help but laugh and shrug at the words.

"A compliment is just a compliment if he doesn't act on it."

"A woman should be complimented no matter the relationship status!" Sanji defends. "Besides, Luffy doesn't tell her enough I'm sure! The man is as dense as a rock." I didn't respond because he was right. Luffy only told me a select amount of times how pretty or beautiful I was. It did kind of bug me that Sanji told me more than my own boyfriend, but I didn't want to show that.

"Let's just get to the battlefield, yeah?" I interrupt the chatter and walk to the front of the ship, climbing onto Sunny's head and gripping tightly to the sword I carried. I can't let my emotions carry me today. The last thing I needed during this fight was to lose concentration. These foes are strong, and while I may have sailed with both the Straw Hats and Red-Haired Pirates, I am still the weakest on both crews.

"There it is," Franky announces. "Just ahead- The plaza." I nod and keep my stance on Sunny's head. Today was going to mark the day that we will save Fishman Island- As humans. We are going to win, but for myself, I can't promise I won't die getting where I need to be.
