The plan was for Ace to stay behind on the Sunny and wait for our signal. The last I remembered from this raid was that the Nine got defeated by Kaido and Big Mom showed up on top with him. After that is a blur, but I don't have time to check the future. The next part of the plan was to hide in disguises with Kin'emon and his power. After that, the building would be infiltrated, no one would recognize us, and everything would go smoothly until Luffy outs himself with Zoro.
That was the plan.
It was a solid one.
Then all hell broke loose. Now here we were, Robin exhausted and being hunted by CP-0, Luffy up top fighting Kaido, Law and Kid keeping Big Mom at bay, Queen fighting Sanji, and Zoro juiced up on Zou medication that was going to help him fight King.
"It's you." I froze at the voice and glanced up to see the massive man that was called King blocking the entrance I was trying to get through. "I'd recognize a scar I gave someone anywhere. Especially to Red-Haired Shanks and his little lackey." I sighed and placed a hand on my scar.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about," I tease with a smirk. King lowers himself to where the beak of his mask is nearly touching me. I'm sure if he stared any harder I would have been mauled by him right then and there.
"So this isn't you?" I hear the crinkling of paper before I see my wanted poster waving in front of my face. I hummed in fake thought and shook my head.
"Nope!" You could easily see that the scar in the image was ultimately matching mine, but I ignored it. King hums and straightens up. It's obvious he's about to say something when a hand grabs my arm harshly.
"May, Come on!" A familiar tone echoes. "Robin said to stay by the front lines! What's wrong with you, can't you listen?" I glance at Nami as she realizes who I am speaking with. Her hand was shaking around my bicep.
"Go!" I shout to avoid looking at King. We take off at a full sprint in the direction we had Tama and Usopp waiting in. Before King could say anything in return, Zoro had busted through again. That monster was about to kill me. Once out of sight, I could hear King still muttering about something.
"That was way too close!" Nami whisper-shouts. "Why does he recognize you so fast out of all of us?"
"Do you remember when I was telling you guys about the fight between him and Shanks while I was on his crew?" She nods. "He was the one who gave me the scar. He nearly cut me in half!"
"Aren't you scared to see him again?"
"Of course I am! But I know he's gonna get his ass kicked either way."
"I thought you couldn't see that far?" I smiled wide at her.
"Are you doubting our crew?" I tease. Nami pauses and sighs. "Come on. Let's go find the others." Now that that terrifying feat was behind us for now, finding the others-
"Hey, Mom!" I freeze and my grip on Nami tightens. "Look what I got!" My eyes immediately find my son, the age of fifteen, in a green tank top and black shorts, his necklace of the poneglyph hanging from his neck. In his hands was a sword of red and black with gold plating.
"Monkey D. Ace, what the fuck are you doing here?" I angrily yell. "What happened to staying on the ship?"
"Oh, that's the thing!" His finger came out and pointed straight at Nami. "Uncle Usopp and Aunt Nami said to stick with them after our friend Tama showed up!" I blinked a few times and finally spun to face the blamed culprit. Nami was nervously sweating and crossing her hands to try and tell Ace to shut up, but it was too late. I was already staring at the woman with a deadly expression.
