I hate being right. I really do. I especially hate it when it is me being right about bad things. I stared at Giolla, everyone in the crew except for me turned into art pieces.
"Young Master demanded that you were left unharmed, unchanged, and kidnapped without trouble," The larger woman explains. "So please, don't put up a fight." I frowned with a grunt, tightening my grip on the hilt of my sword.
"Who said I'd follow those instructions?"
"No one expects you to follow them, but we do recommend it." She smiles wider than before, cackling as I can hear the familiar sound of strings being whipped through the air. The star of the show was about to arrive and I had no way to stop it. Law would be here with Ceasar and I would be stuck unless I did something.
"Room!" My eyes snap up to where Law was balancing in the air with Doflamingo. I gasped, rushing up and leaping high, using the boat as leverage to get higher as I went. I grabbed the coat of Ceasar, dragging him down and flinging Law with him to the deck. I didn't want to see this play out when I knew that in the end I would get caught.
"May!" I hear Nami call from below.
"Kaneko!" I lock eyes with Law as soon as I feel Doflamingo wrap his long hands around the back of my neck. I smiled down at him with a slight shrug. "Luffy's gonna kill me!"
"Seems a little too easy, Sly Fox." I eye the man that held me, his hand immediately reaching out to pull away from the clouds, the Coup De Burst sending the crew into the open area with no clouds surrounding it. "What are you planning?"
"Nothing you'll be able to handle," I respond with a harsh tone. His grin widens and a low laugh slowly begins to travel from his chest.
"I'll kill you and your little friends in time, don't worry." His feet land on the shoreline again, but this time, I see Law waiting there.
"You were supposed to stay on the ship!" I shout before Doflamingo decides to pummel me into the sand, his hand still on the back of my neck.
"You weren't part of the trade deal, Kaneko!" I would respond, but my mouth was covered by sand and I didn't feel like trying to get that gritty texture out of my mouth.
"Hand over Ceasar, Law, and I will let you live," Doflamingo offers.
"Why would I do that? You still have Kaneko. That would hardly be fair." The two shared choice words back and forth and I was quite honestly getting annoyed with it. I knew they were going to fight on the bridge and that Law would get caught. I grunted, closing my eyes and hoping to skip at least to the bridge. I gasped when my chest hit harsh metal and the hand that once held my neck was gone. Instead, I felt my limbs beginning to move on their own.
"Why finish you off when I could have someone else do it for me?" My eyes went up to Doflamingo as Law lay in a heaped mess on the broken bridge, stuttered breathing wracking him visibly. My body stood and I could feel it fighting to move, making me flinch internally. I was being used as a parasite puppet. It was Doffy's famous tactic for making people go against each other.
"Law, I'm sorry," I quickly announce. "I don't have a choice." Law looks up at me as I unsheathe my sword and hold it above my head with shaking hands. I didn't want to hurt Law. I didn't want him to think I was letting it happen. His bruised and cut face turned soft when his eyes met mine and he sighed weakly, smiling slightly.
"I know." His words made my fingers tighten on my sword's hilt. I could feel my will weakening from the hold Doffy had on me. I couldn't hurt Law. I don't care how much it hurts, I can't let him get away with this again, and this time he's using me in the process.
