( Part 1 )

The clouds gathering above Siasi island dimmed constantly blocking every sunlight from the sun and left only with chill gush of the wind. Leaves from every trees would be plucked from their branches and be blown away until reaching the ground, steets, roofs and even the lake deep within the northern mountain where farmers work.

It's already at the month of November, it wouldn't be surprising to have rain by this month as December is approaching.

Thanks to such weather the people who wanted to go out momentarily stopped their plans for today, afraid that they'd get sick under the cold weather or any hazardous accident's, hopefully, wouldn't happen.

Our point of view turns towards the restaurant standing up front the Plaza, slightly placed east and away from the Mosque*.

/AN: *this is where Islam people pray during day and night./

Jay opened the door as subtle as he could after Finally running from his house, to the restaurant, that his grandmother had kept it going since the 19's.

The restaurant itself was simple and warm. Decorations arranged in a beautiful manner that matched the color codes of the curtains. The interior felt welcoming and nostalgic that even the smell of the damp rain- starting to pour -couldn't win against the setting of the surrounding. When one enters the building they'll immediately catch a wiff of a chocolat-y smell gliding from the wind giving you the subconscious relaxation.

Jay smiled upon placing the cap he wore on top of the table. Even though the shop itself looked simple enough, it's customers would be piling up the entrance and occupying the empty seats.

Thanks to the rain though, there wasn't much customer.

"Grandma! I'm here!" Jay chirped cheerfully. The kid almost tripped when he made his way to the counter due to the rug placed on the floor. Jay grunted and kicked it off making the rug flip to the other side.

Jay's grandmother, slowly walked out the kitchen area. The door that led to that room creaked softly.

"You're here, why didn't you carry your umbrella?" Grandmother.

Jay shrugged off his shoulders, "it's alright i ran all the way here." He mumbled under his breath but loud enough for his grandmother to hear him.

Grandmother, "Idiotic boy. Do you think Rai will run under a rain like you?" She scolded holding the plate of cleaned cups.

"Oh! But is it true that she's coming here?" Jay questioned in awe.

It was a long time since Jay saw his cousin, what happened after she left the island, was unknown now. Jay's grandmother wouls tell him that Rai had been supporting her own self with her own earned money from multiple part time jobs she'd find in the city. It was a lot but Rai would be seen as an independent person and whatever her reason for leaving the island, she had was something that Jay nor everyone talks about.

Rai had her reasons and other's knew that it's best if they aren't involved with whatever she was going through. Still, this was unheard of? The fact that Rai deicided to come back after the years seemed to be shocking than for it to be exciting. Jay had his suspicions but he'd be never tell anyone about it except the closest friend's he has.

Jay hummed softly. "If only THAT didn't happen.."

Jay's grandmother whacked him on the head but it wasn't that hard to give him any bruises nor any head injuries.

"Ow!" Jay whined rubbing the spot where he was hit. He'd hiss in agony but would stop once his grandmother raises the weapon she has in hand to whack Jay with.

A scary grandmother she is.

"Stop babbling and get to the train station already." She scolded, pointing at the doorway as if ordering her grandson to move it.

Jay wouldn't be able to talk back so he'd quietly and immediately leave the building, a scowl on his face once realizing that he's outed again.

There where people walking along the side steeets, under the umbrella they've been bringing. Some where sharing the object in hand to avoid being drenched. Jay would even get caught staring at them yet he'd smile and nod as a greeting as if he's main plan was to greet the two strangers. Sure enough the two people walking side-by-side nodded back at him with a smile on their own.

Yes, this is how people are in Siasi island.

Jay never thought of leaving this place and go study at the city. It was too much to handle and he didn't want to leave his very own grandmother alone, managing business by herself without support.

Sigh, "It's cold." Jay whispered angrily towards the weather.

Jay had been zoning out for awhile that he'd not even realized the things around him. Such as..

Someone bumping into him.

"AGH!" Jay yelped and hit the ground with his butt. The impact itself was painful enough to send stinging pain on Jay's flesh and bone. Thankfully he didn't hit his head since that might've gave him some serious concussion.

"Sorry!" The other person yelled.

Their voice trembled while offering assistance.

Jay whom still groaned from the fall slowly lifted himself up but now the coldness he had been feeling before started to double in sense. Jay shivered under the drenched clothes he wore.

"Sorry! I'm really sorry."

"Ah, it's alright." Jay.

The person in front of him still had the face of guilt since he had been running without looking. Jay was finally able to see the boy's face, a bit astonished to their physical appearance. They didn't seem like he was from there nor wasn't from this country either.

A foreigner?

They had blue eyes that resembled the sky. Black hair with a strike of white at a small part, what's more eye-catching were the style of clothes that Jay hadn't seen before or had never encountered before. The thoughts of this boy being a cosplayer entered Jay's mind so he immediately brushed off the weird thoughts.

Smiling, "You alright? You seemed to be in a hurry awhile ago." Jay uttered.

The boy stiffened yet he relaxed immediately after confirming something inside his head.

"I was being chased by some.. dogs but it's alright now?" The boy scratched the back of his head sheepishly. Yet his pupils would dart left to right.

Jay furrowed his eyebrows.

"A-ah! My name is Angin by the way." Angin says.

"Ha? Angin?" Jay.

Angin nodded slowly and innocently.

"Um, right?" Jay mumbled confusingly. "My name's Jay" he introduced himself.

Angin engulfed the information inside his head as much as he could. Oblivious to Jay's thoughts wherein he's being described as weird and... otherworldly stylish?

Yeah, let's keep the last one a secret.

"Well if that's all, I'm gonna go so it was nice meetin' you." Jay waved for a goodbye then walked pass by Angin.

Angin stood there under the rain watching Jay walk off to somewhere.

Jay didn't even look back to the spot where Angin stood until he wasn't seen anymore.
