( PART 8 )

Sounds of heavyweight boots splashed through the puddles gathering up on the ground due to the downpour of rain. Rumbles of thunder echoed in between greyish clouds following a few second scene of a lightning shooting up through the sky.

The surrounding place smelled like damped soil and wet grass with a waft of burnt metals. The slightly distinguished shadow figures of broken ship's and unconscious people, sprawled across the muddy grounds that has once been a battlefield. The fight had stopped not too long ago. It's neither victory between two organizations; COSMOS and HUNTERS.

Thanks to this fight many casualties had been met and many of the soldiers lost.

Jay's footsteps had been muffled by the rain, only he himself could hear his ragged breathing and Astrobot's whimpers, whom stuck behind him. The ache from his left arm stung against the fabric of his clothes and the rain only fuelled it more, although pained and tired, Jay wasn't the slightest bit concerned about his physical wounds. What concerns him more was the person in the middle of the field.

Everyone watched this person, standing alone under the pouring rain.

In front of this person, laid a broken power sphere, whose parts torn to pieces until it was impossible to repair.

There had been no response from the person standing near it. The silhouette from them looming over the power sphere looked melancholic to watch and painful to comprehend.

The grip from Astrobot's tiny hands over Jay's right shoulder, tightened. The young power sphere can't shed real tears but pain was a different matter. Everyone around them both would feel the same thing.

There was nothing they could do, the war against HUNTERS were not to be taken lightly. It was the most gruesome fight they've had in all their life, simply losing half the soldiers they've deployed from their side. But amongst everyone present in this time, only the brokenhearted-looking-heroine gave so much assistance.

The only friend, whose precious to her like a sibling, was taken from her. The most trusted person in her life betrayed her. Her friend's whom closest to her could never comfort her pained heart. Everything about her was broken, there was nothing they could do to fix that up.

Jay had to watch her in helplessness. He could never wipe her tears away because he knew the things she'd been through, was something none of them all could understand. He hated that feeling.

Useless.

He was weak in and out. If he'd only been stronger then he might've been able to save everyone.

He can only watch the emotions of his cousin slowly deteriorating.

Jay lost two people that day.

One, was someone he cares about.

Two, was a brave heroine.

"Jay watch out!"

Someone yelled, bringin Jay back to his senses. He was seconds too late when the sand-bag used for their parkour training hit him hard on the face. With the mechanics pushing him back with sheer force, Jay tumbled backwards, slipping from the bridge where he formerly stood and fell onto the pool of water below.

The horn flared notifying the end of the training for the day for Section E.

Jay stayed afloat on water. He faced the bridge above him where he fell, his face held a tedious feature that none of the teams from Section D who're present dared to ask him questions. Not like they wanted to, they just couldn't.

A hand hovered above Jay's face, trying to keep him away from whatever thoughts that's forming inside his head. He tilted his head slightly upwards to see whomever it was.
