S2: CHAPTER 17

( Evergreen Palace: Dining room )

Checkered tiles adorned the floor with gold linings decorating the surface in accordance to green lighten colored walls and the Fleur-de-lis design on it.

White huge colored vases held with flower paintings stood in display around the halls and the corners of the room. A fireplace by the end of the table area, two doors left to right and a hall that leads into one of the lounge within the palace.

Boboiboy(s) and his team were invited by the queen to have dinner with her in honour to Cahaya's heroic deeds. Of course everyone accepted the offer, they couldn't expect to let an opportunity go into waste. What's more is that if anyone would know about the celestial storm's appearance here in Planet Amazonia, it's none other than the queen herself.

The elements sat on the right side of the table while their teammates sat on the left. Food had already been served by the best chef of the royal palace, each looked delicious especially the treats.

"Please eat up, this is just a small token for Cahaya's heroic deeds." The queen gestured a dish of fish stew.

Tanah smiled, "Thank you for all of this your highness."

The queen. "No problem at all, I'm glad that all of you were here. If not.. then my people would've suffered a lot."

"But who would want to destroy Amazonia City?" Asked Yaya, holding a fork.

"That.. i wouldn't know. We've never encountered such even before and I've never met such formidable foe whom could infiltrate my palace."

Ying tapped the tip of her spoon on the plate. "If it's someone whose able to slip through heavily guarded security system then it's possible this person are not one of Amazonia's people."

"Plus the explosives they've used are that of high quality where you can never find in the auction market." Fang continued Ying's theory while also biting into a carrot flavoured pancake.

Papa Zola shivered, "Oh man, this looks to be dangerous. I didn't sign up for this, I'm only told that we're here for a field trip!" The man winced hugging himself.

"What about CCTV footage clips?" Air questioned.

"Na-da. The perpetrator even manage to interfere with the CCTV camera's." Fang answered.

All of them suddenly felt a wave of worry. Such a skilled thief was able to get inside the palace without even being detected could be a tough opponent, it could mean they either have a trick up their sleeves or just highly trained for things like these.

Petir chimed in. "But your highness, if it's alright to ask. What is it that they stole from you?"

Silence filled the air when the woman did not reply to Petir's question, she eventually gave in though.

"For thousands of years, before Amazonia could even prosper.. the Evergreen Palace had already been keeping guard of a certain gem. Unordinary like any other crystals that you could find, this one harbours great power where none could even comprehend.

I, even as the queen of this land, has not been able to see what it can do. But since i am now the one taking care of the gem, a book that contain it's information are written there."

She explained with dread lingered in her voice. Her change of expression made everyone in the room feel nervous.

The queen added. "This gem... is a gateway to make anyone.. disappear out of existence."

All of them could not believe what they were hearing.

For thousands of years written in the book, the said gem was not to be destroyed because people feared they might get erased from the world's existence. To counterattack such feat they instead held onto it and kept the object safe out of everyone's eyes. Hence, why Evergreen Palace's information are highly secretive.
