( PART 4 )

Angin wolfed down the food that was served to him minutes ago after asking to apply to work in the eatery. He hadn't been eating for days now, what's worse was that, the running and hiding he did decreased his stamina. Only finally tasting warm delicious food got the color of life back on his face.

Rai watched him at the other side of the counter. The boy didn't seem to notice her observing from the whole-while he'd been sitting on the chair. It wasn't that much, but the food contained fried rice and a hotdog, partnered with orange juice and to Angin it was delicious.

For common sense, people wouldn't dare give a mere stranger some food but when Angin's stomach pleaded for anything to eat, Rai didn't have much choice but to give in.

She felt the need to help him out of instincts.

Cooking hadn't been a big deal for Rai because throughout the years she had been working part time jobs non-stop-she'd also gain knowledge from different fields of expertise. Such as; cooking, cleaning, financing, delivering and etc. She had learned almost anything during her working-student-montage in years. Not only did it become her hobby to try new things, it also made her feel at peace and.. sane.

"You said you wanted to work here?" Rai.

Angin nodded nonchalantly. "I can do anything you tell me to." The lad smiled, puffing out his chest for confidence.

You'd even mistake his eyes as the sky with sunshine on them when they twinkle in delight.

Rai didn't like people who have enthusiastic personality. It always drains her energy away and whenever she'd feel tired, she wouldn't become productive for days to weeks.

Something about it just makes her feel unpleasant of the sort?

"But I don't think Grandma accepts new employees." Ray informed.

Angin for a second, stopped eating and he softly placed the utensil on top the plate, with a smooth clanking sound emitted. He didn't know what to say at this point, he'd run out of ideas but he really need a job or else he'll starve in the streets, as long as his stuck here...

... In this world.

"U-um, I'm sorry." Angin apologized first, "I don't have money and I'm starving so i needed a job to support me on those things."

The boy looked like he was a cat getting left behind by his owner under the cold rain without an umbrella and a home. His pitiful face was enough to give Rai the choice of letting him work, only if her grandmother agrees though.

Rai glanced back to the boy, "Alright. Let me see what i can do to coax my grandmother." She explained placing her forefinger and thumb under her chin.

"If she agrees then that'll be nice and i doubt she'll disagree anyways- because Grandma had always have a soft spot with kids."

"Ah! Thank you!" Angin bowed, trying to reach for Rai's hand and shake it.

For awhile Rai was taken a back so she hurriedly and smack Angin's hand away from herself out of reflex. She was so stunned that she didn't even notice this. Angin on this case was a bit surprise from the suddenly slap yet he only played it off with an apologetic smile.

He thought he was being too over friendly.

Why does he keep forgetting that he's from a different world?

And a stranger mostly.

This wasn't his home yet it was fascinating to see such world exists apart from his own reality.

Angin, "Sorry.."

"..."

Angin didn't talk anymore so he just continued eating away the awkwardness he'd feel from seconds ago.
