The next morning Jack and Hiccup met up in the kitchen. Hans was going to spend the day catching up with his aunt and uncle.
Hiccup told his parents and sister he and Jack would be in the forest and not to look for them. What he didn't know was that Anna didn't believe them one bit.
"I knew they wouldn't be in the forest" she grumbled as she watched the two sneak into town. She rolled her eyes.
"This is so cool" Hiccup said as they walked around. "I haven't been out here in years".
Jack was about to say something when a man walked by grumbling. "You ok" Jack wondered. The man looked up at the two boys.
"Oh I'm fine physically" he groaned, "but I lost a lot of self esteem yesterday".
"Why" Hiccup wondered. Just then three girls sprinted by. The first blond the second had midnight black hair and the third had brown hair.
The brunette in front of the three men. "You can't catch up with that blond" she panted and rested her hands on her knees.
"That blond again"! The older man raged and stormed off. "What's his deal" Jack asked.
"Him? Oh my best friend beat him in a sword fight, without a sword" Audrey said, gasping for breath.
"Seriously" Hiccup exclaimed, that was something new! "Oh ya" Izzy said jogging up. "Trains everyday for like two hours without brakes"! She pushed her black curls over her shoulder.
"And runs two laps around town in like five minutes"! Hiccup and Jacks eyes widened. "Your joking right" Jack asked, his mouth open. "Nope" Audrey shook her head, "in Audrey by the way. That's Izzy" she said, nodding towards the black haired girl.
"Nice meet you" Izzy smiled. "Well I'm, uh, Hayden and this is Jack" Hiccup stammered. He didn't like people finding out he was the prince!
"Hey you guys left me" Elsa said running up, "I made it all the way to the docks before I finally saw you were gone"!
Docks Hiccup thought, that's like a mile away! "Elsa this is Hayden and Jack" Izzy introduced, "guys this is Elsa". Elsa brushes her hair out of her face, "nice to meet you".
"So you just ran to the docks and back with out a problem" Jack suddenly blurted. Elsa chuckled. "I like running" she shrugged, "I also do gymnastics and sword fighting".
Hiccup smiled. She was different from other girls. "Oh you two should race" Jack exclaimed, "Hi- I mean Hayden happens to be a really fast runner".
Elsa smirked "your on. To the docks and back"? "Didn't you just go there" Hiccup asked. "So" Elsa smirked and crossed her arms, "afraid to loose to a girl"? Hiccup shrugged. "I'll still beat you anyway".
"I've heard that one before" Elsa snorted. "She has" Audrey piped up.
"Alright first one back here from the docks wins" Jack declared, "three two one go"!
Elsa and Hiccup took off sprinting across town. People everywhere moved out of their way. Hiccup was ahead barley by a foot by the time they reach the docks.
The two spun around and continued towards where there friends were. Hiccup was starting to wear out but he refused to quit. Suddenly Elsa turned and ran off in another direction. Hiccup stared after her for a moment before continuing on his way.
He could see Jack and the girls up ahead. Hey I might win he realized. When he was five yards away Elsa suddenly dropped to the ground, coming out of a perfect back flip.
Hiccup skidded to a stop just before he crashed into her. "What the" he stammered as she high five her friends. Elsa saw his shocked expression and giggled.
She pointed to a banner that was rocking back and forth off the top a of building. "Works every time" she shrugged, "is its fun".
"For you" her friends said in unison. Hiccup smiled, he was really starting to like this girl' "Not bad blondie" he said, "Your the first person I met who could out run me".
Elsa smiled as her heart began to pound. "Is just who I am" she smiled. Her eye found his and neither one of them looked away. That is until Jack cleared his throat.
"Uh Hayden and I need to get going, right Hayden"? "Hun" Hiccup looked over at Jack, "oh right. Uh you guys wanna meet up again tomorrow at the docks".
Elsa smiled, "sure. See ya". She waved and the three girls walked off. "You like her don't you" Jack teases. Hiccup rolled his eyes. "I just met her" then he sighed, "she doesn't even know my real name".
