shadow: how are you still alive after pissing scrouge off i don't know.......why don't you just go home to your parents were you belong
sonic chuckle turn into a weak smile as he answered that he don't have parents
shadow: of course you have parents I'm sure there...
sonic: they are dead sheriff so i don't have any
sonic continue to smile when clearly he was hiding the fact that he was hurt from answering that as shadow stared at him but though for sonic sake he wouldn't mention it anymore
shadow: okay fine...um next question then
after sonic answered a few more of shadow questions they both got out of the lake and dressed back up then headed to rouge and silver that was waiting for them to come back so they could eat
silver: well it's about time you two got here how long dose it take to get washed?
sonic: sorry blame sheriff here he wanted to integrate me before coming to you guys
rouge and silver had a questionable look thinking why shadow wanted to do that for when clearly he has nothing to do with scrouge or his gang but started eating as they both sat around the fire with the other two.
silver saw the teen as his cheery self as he was eating but saw shadow still staring at the teen but couldn't tell what the expression he was showing as he was eating to as the four was silent making an awkward atmosphere between them till silver had an idea to make things feel better.
silver: hey sonic how about we have a drink together i got some
sonic: huh...what have you got?
silver: some whisky here
silver pull out the bottle he had in his bag with rouge giving him a glare
silver: what it's not open and i took from one of scrouges gang before we threw him in a cell
rouge: you moron you still can't give that kind of thing to a kid
sonic didn't like the fact that he couldn't and took the bottle from silvers hand and open it then gulp a mouthful down before moving the bottle away as his face had a sour look
sonic: argh...that burns
silver and rouge laugh as they thought he would of known that but said to the two that he never had a drink before
silver: well give it a couple more times and it will go down easier trust me
rouge: silver seriously don't give him anymore he could be a light weight you know....tell him shadow
rouge look for help from shadow but shadow thought it might be amusing to see the teen drunk and said for the teen to give it another try
rouge: SHADOW!
shadow: it okay he's a kid after all so he won't take another shot
sonic again took that as a challenge as he started at shadow and took a couple more gulps down just to prove to shadow that he an't no kid
silver: see it's better right
sonic: 'cough'...argh...yea a little

after one bottle of whisky:
silver and sonic was completely drunk laughing and talking gibberish to each other as shadow and rouge watch them both falling each time they stood up till rouge had enough for the night and grab a hold of silver who was clinging on to his drinking partner for dear life saying in his drunken state
silver: NO...I WANA BE....hic...with..wonic more....hic
rouge: no silver it's time to get some shut eye and let go of sonic now
silver: AWWW do i...hic...hab to...wonic.....sleep..with me
shadow: alright that's enough get away from him now
shadow didn't like how silver was grabbing on to the teen and then intervene and pull sonic away from the cuddly hedgehog and told silver firmly to get to bed and as he said that rouge took silver to bed who lay down and went like a light
rouge: good now that he's asleep I'm going to hit the hay too but as for sonic....
sonic was hugging shadow making drunken giggles as shadow told her that he would watch over him
rouge: alright I'll leave you to it then good night boss
rouge went to her tent and went to sleep but now shadow had the job to try and get sonic to go to sleep but the way he was acting when hugging him tightly made him think he was in for a long night
shadow try to pull the teen off but he refused making the older hedgehog annoyed for a moment but sat down with the teen who then let go and started to get mad at shadow and gave him a glare as he sat up swinging back and forth due to the alcohol in his system.
sonic: you...you...mean..hic...goood looking gezzer....tell me why....you got me answer your....dumb questions
shadow was surprised and angry at the fact he was called good looking and a gezzer all in one sentence from the drunken teen and just shook it off thinking he won't remember this by the morning
shadow: just go to sleep sonic or...
sonic: no!.....i wanna know why asshole
shadow just sigh as he told him that he was just making sure that he wasn't a part of scrouges gang or a bandit himself
sonic: tsk...like i would be....I'M A NATIVE JERK
shadow wanted to stop sonic from shouting due to rouge and silver being asleep so not to disturb them so he try a new calm approach to the teen just to get him to be quiet
shadow: okay you made your point so please stop being mad i know now that your not a bandit so calm down and lay down
shadow pat the ground next to him showing sonic that he could lay next to him and sonic did what shadow ask and he was starting to calm down making shadow sigh in relief as sonic spoke again
sonic: why did you.....question me about my parents....for
shadow: oh..um that because i thought they would be worried about you
sonic:...they can't when there dead
shadow saw the teen face go from anger to sadness as he leaned his head on shadow shoulder but shadow knew bringing up more will make the teen burst into tears so he just wrap him arm around the kids shoulder and try to change the subject into a playful one.
shadow: so you thing I'm good looking then kid
shadow thought sonic would smile but big mistake as sonic snap his head back up and pushed shadow down to the ground and crawl on top of him with a pissed off expression
shadow: heyhey calm down i was just.....
sonic: stupid gezzer....hic....I'm not a kid and....I'm goanna prove it too you
sonic slam his lips against shadows who only could freeze at that moment and think of only pushing him away but yet he didn't want to so he just let sonic kiss him as he started to taste the alcohol that sonic had along with the teen own taste that was rather sweet to shadow making a good combination with his and before he knew it he was starting to join in relishing in the pleasure as he couldn't help but bring his tongue in the teens mouth and flip him over so he was on the ground as they both fight for dominance in the other's mouth.
sonic was the one to become submissive and moan for the other as shadow pressed in as much as he can and enjoy making the other moan for him till with out any warning sonic stop all movement in his mouth causing shadow to snap out of enjoyment and sat up only to see the teen asleep.
shadow could only sigh in disappointment as well as frustration as he covered the teen and hope he wouldn't remember there moment together.
