later that night in town:
scrouge and most of his gang sat in there cells while the sheriff in town was in his chair falling asleep but was suddenly grab and whack across the head by a small group that was behind him and search the sheriffs pockets and found the keys to the cells.
scrouge look out his cell to see 5 members of his gang standing over the sheriff with his right hand mobian 'infinite' walking over to his cell and unlock it
scrouge: it's about time you guys showed up where have ya been?
infinite: sorry boss but the kid we chased after was more capable than we thought and saw that he was working with that bastard sheriff before going into hiding just so we can get you guys out and regroup
scrouge: tsk...that little punk was the one that also beaten the rest of them it would seem we miss judge him and is pretty fast for what i heard
infinite: he sure is i even saw it for myself before that sheriff found him that he could out run any of us and use a few traps again
scrouge was pissed off when he remembered the teen tying him to tree when he first met him but now found the boy to be an interesting to say at least
scrouge: well good job for getting us out but do you know where they went?
infinite: in the forest and i assume it was to find the rest of us but they haven't come back yet
scrouge: really huh..... well then let's get a welcome party ready for them when they get back in return for locking me in this fucking cell
scrouge grin turn into an evil one as he and his gang plan for there so called welcoming party

the next morning:
rouge was the first to get only to realized that shadow was supposes to wake her half way though the night to take over watching the camp and rush out of her tent to see that it was definitely morning.
she went over to silvers tent to wake him up but he only complained as he had a throbbing headache as he walk with rouge to see how shadow was doing but to there surprise they saw shadow was asleep with sonic snuggled in a blanket next to him with the teens head laying on top of shadow chest fur.
rouge: aww they both look so peaceful don't they
silver: wait why is sonic sleeping with him when we both know that shadow isn't a cuddling type
rouge: don't know maybe he was worried that you would try and sleep with him last night
rouge said as she couldn't help but smirk as she remembered what silver was like around the teen last night
silver: huh?....what's that supposed to mean i wouldn't
silver was wounding what he did when he was drunk as rouge went over to wake the two up with shadow being the first to open his eyes to see the sleeping teen on top of his chest but didn't seem fazed about him being there and gently shook him to get up.
shadow: hey sonic get up it's morning
sonic groaned as he open his eyes and saw that he was laying on shadow chest and slowly got up rubbing his eyes smiling brightly as he shyly said morning to shadow making the older male slightly smile forgetting the two that was looking at him
shadow: morning to you too sonic i take it you slept well
sonic: oh yea like a light you were pretty comfy especially your chest fur it was like a pillow
rouge and silver was puzzled at the time for seeing this side of shadow which was rare as rouge ask if he was okay as sonic went to the lake to wash his face
rouge: shadow did something happen between you and are friend there last night
she said as she pointed at sonic from the distance but shadow went back to usual stern look as he was ask that
shadow: no nothing we just sorted are difference's when you went to sleep
silver: but you just smiled and you never smile are you sure....nothing happened?
shadow told the two to mind there own business and pack up as he went to the lake to wash his face himself but to also have a quick word with the teen leaving the two with more questions on there mind as silver said to as a remark
silver: i think you should of been worried about shadow sleeping with sonic than me
rouge: oh just shut up and start packing will you!
she said as she hit silver on the shoulder and walk back to her tent
shadow got to the lake and saw sonic splashing the cold water on his face as he also bend down to the ground and cup some water asking if the teen felt alright after being drunk last night
sonic: actually i feel pretty good and i thought i would have what you guys called a hang over
shadow: that's good it wouldn't be good for you to have one that's for sure......but do you happen to remember anything from last night
shadow said trying not to sound nervous as he splashed more water on his face but sonic just smiled
sonic: oh you mean the part where i was falling down or the part were i kissed you
shadow froze as he thought the teen would be a black out drunk but clearly he wasn't making shadow want explain himself but sonic just placed his hand on the older males shoulder and said in a cocky tone
sonic: don't worry as you can tell when it happen that i enjoyed it and as for you all i can say is for a good looking gezzer your an amazing kisser
sonic then stood up and walk away leaving shadow there as he unfroze himself but couldn't help make a proud smile from the sonic comment of him being an amazing kisser
shadow prov:
heh....damn kid if you didn't fall asleep on me then i would of show you more what i could do but then again if we did that then i wouldn't have had a good sleep like i had when holding you close to me last night
shadow stood up and went back to the others so they can start moving again to find the rest of scrouges gang and was hopping to himself that he would find a chance to get to know the teen more
