sonadow the sheriff and the so called native

the four pack there things and threw water on the hot wood they burn as there fire from last night with sonic then jumping on his horse telling them that he will be going now

shadow didn't want the kid to leave his side yet so he stop sonic horse 'sugar' from moving and ask the teen if he could help them out for another day

shadow: just until we can find the rest of them we could really use your help 

rouge and silver never though that shadow the sheriff would ever ask for help to a mobian especially a teenager 

rouge: shadow don't you think it would be best if sonic stay out of this just in case

silver: yea since he was there target to begin with he would be putting his life on the line

the two hated the idea of putting sonic at risk but to sonic he thought shadow would never ask but he was glad he did as he agreed to help them but ask for a favour in return

shadow: sure if we get the rest of the gang then we can split the reward money if that's what you want

sonic: nah I'm good i don't want the cash 

rouge: then what do you want then?

sonic: I'm looking for an emerald for my friend knuckles so if you can help me get it back to him i would appreciate it

shadow: well we can help but...

sonic: don't worry i know that scrouge has got the last one hidden somewhere so before you take him with you can you squeal it out of him of it's whereabouts

shadow: okay we could do that

rouge: shadow i really don't think it a good idea 

sonic: don't worry rouge it will be fine I'm pretty good protecting myself and others so relax

shadow: see he said it's okay and he already prove that he can so it's fine

rouge was still not sure about it and neither dose silver but agreed in the end as sonic was determined to give them a hand leaving them no choice but to keep on there toes more to protect the kid from any harm.

later:

shadow was talking to sonic the whole time and found out the boy was loved and raised by knuckles native tribe but when he turn 16 he wanted to go and explore on his own as well as look for some jewel that was worship in the tribe but two of them was stolen  10 years back.

shadow didn't speak as he was more interested in letting sonic talk more about himself and enjoy his company at the time too

the four has been riding there horse's for a couple of hours now and saw no signs of the remaining gang members and was getting further away from the town making shadow think that it would be best to stop the search and go back to town.

shadow: well if we can't find them then lets take the ones we have in the cell back to mobuis then return in a weeks time what do you three think

rouge: agreed

silver: totally can't wait to get home for a while

shadow had the approval and he then look at the teen who agreed also but had a smirk on his face as he said

sonic: I'll make it easy for you guy and have the rest of them in a cell ready for you to pick up if i find them

shadow: no bad idea you would put your life at risk if you did that

sonic: but arn't i already there number one target so it would make sense that they would be after me anyway

shadow didn't like the idea to leave sonic alone when others where after him and had an idea 

shadow: tell you what why don't you come with us to mobius for a week and then we can come back together 

sonic thought about it for a moment and to him it didn't sound like a bad idea as he love going to new areas to explore and mobuis being the capital was one of the areas he wanted to see the most

sonic: mobuis huh.....sure i would love to but I'll have to tell my friend in town to give the message to knuckles

shadow: good let's get going then

sonic and shadow turn back riding there horse's side by side together with rouge and silver behind them talking to each other 

silver: hey did you notice that shadows been 

rouge: i know i can see and clearly asking sonic to come with us to mobius just proves that he don't want to leave are blue friend behind

rouge and silver couldn't help but smirk when they have been noticing since the morning when both hedgehogs woke up that shadow has been smiling ever since 

silver: do you think sonic is that special to shadow

rouge: oh yea defiantly i even think it won't be long till we have sonic joining are group

late afternoon:

the four returned outside of the town where sonic said he would met up with them later as he had to go and see his friend and tell him the news

shadow: you have a friend here?

sonic: yea his name is tails he works as a blacksmith and is really good at his work but do you want me to pick up anything while I'm in there 

shadow: nah were good for a moment 

sonic: okay but do you mind taking sugar with you she don't like the place not after the hassle of getting some horse shoes on her

shadow nodded and took the sugar from him as sonic wave and ran to the local blacksmith

sonic waved as he went to see tails while shadow and the other two tie there horses up but sugar on the other hand didn't want her reins tie to the post

shadow: come on sugar just be good and your master will come back soon

but sugar her two front hooves to send a warning to the black hedgehog 

shadow: tsk...fine what ever be that be that way just don't run off 

shadow said as sugar just snorted back at him as a reply and went to the sheriffs office and open the door calling out the local sheriff but got no answer 

shadow rouge and silver knew something was up and had there pistols at the ready as they walk where the cells where but stop aiming there weapons as they saw the sheriff on the ground and saw that he has been shot several times knowing full well he was already dead.

the three was grab from behind and had the unknown mobians guns already against the side of there heads as scrouge walk out of there cell with a smug grin on his face as he stared down at the three
