No longer an enemy.

KNUCKLES POV:

If I want him to tell me..

I have to fool him.

"I'm so silly.." I chucked, placing a hand over my forehead. "I'm so sorry, where I come from.. I'm not good at.. interactions. My biggest apologies hedgehog."

"What a mood change.." he raised a brow.

I grabbed his hands in my own.

"I have no idea where I am, I had to leave home to look for something.. specifically on this planet." My eyes softened.

"How could you say that?! You called me 'your enemy' before didn't you?" He waved his hands in the air.

I did say that didn't I? I have to think of something quick.

"It's difficult being on a new planet, I can't easily trust someone can I? Everyone's my enemy. But now that I'm looking at you.. "

It's that moment again..

Our eyes, staring at one another. The wind blowing through us, the smell of the grass & dirt combined.

"Now that you're looking at me.?" He repeated.

"You're no longer an enemy. I suggest an alliance- uh.. is that what you call it?" I started scratching my head.

"You mean, a friendship?" The hedgehog questioned.

"Yes! Yes that!" I exclaimed.

"I see.." he said.

Then, a frown appeared across his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked, slowly walking towards him. He doesn't say anything, he stays looking at the ground. I placed a hand on his shoulder.

"We may not know each other, but this is a good start isn't it? You could tell me.."

He looked up at me, into my eyes and opens his mouth to finally speak.

"I also need.. an alliance." He chucked softly. "I actually don't want to go home.." He frowned once again.

"Then don't." I put my hand out in front of him.

He hesitates for a moment to take it but he then smiles at me and takes it. His face starts to redden.

"Uh.. what's wrong with your face? It's all red. Do you need a doctor?!" I asked.

SONIC POV:

As soon as I took this mysterious red figure's hand, I felt my face burning.

What is this that I'm feeling right now?

"Uh.. what's wrong with your face? It's all red. Do you need a doctor?!" He asked.

"Nothing, it's nothing! It's just that-" before I can finish, he places his hand on my forehead.

"You don't feel warm.." he said.

"I feel fine." I added.

I take my hand back.

"So.. I still don't know your name." I said, placing a hand on my neck.

"It's Knuckles."

"Knuckles? Woah.. well I can see why! It suits you." I smiled at him.

"What's yours?" Knuckles asked.

"It's Sonic.."

"What an amazing name.." he softly said.

"Well, I am pretty amazing." I said as I brushed my quills a bit.
