No Time to Morn

POV Alex

I listen to the screams and watch everyone burn around me. Once it all dies down, I flick my hands making the fire go out then walk to the one person I left, him. He is shaking and staring at me with wide eyes. I grab his throat squeezing it. "You're right, I am a Wuskripa. Let me show you" I say and heat my hand up making him scream. I push my other hand to his chest and slowly burn through it. He screams out and falls to the ground lifeless. I step back stumbling from the fatigue and walk over to Anya falling to my knees. I bring my hands to her face letting the tears fall and blink slowly as sleep begins to take over me. Right before I pass out, I feel soft hands holding me and then nothing. 

UGH! what the hell? I think as slowly open my eyes slowly adjusting to the light. What happened? Where am I? I think as I slowly begin to sit myself up only to wince in pain. I look down and see my shirt off and my whole torso covered in bandages. I furrow my brows and look around seeing I'm in a room... and it seems familiar, but I can't place it for some reason. I don't see anyone in the room and it's oddly quiet which is unnerving. I close my eyes and take a breath before opening them and slowly push myself up. I grab the post on the bed to stabilize myself then walk over to the dresser opening it. I see a loose shirt and grab it putting it on carfully. I look around for any weapon but see nothing of use making me sigh. Clenching my fist, I slowly walk to the door and open it seeing no one in the hall. This isn't another dream, is it? I think and walk down the hall. I glance around and then it clicks, Polis! I'm in the tower and that was Lexa's room. Where is everyone? Shit Azgeda the Queen... our plan! I think and begin to rush to the elevator only to find it blown out. "What the fuck?" I whisper and look down the shaft only to see nothing. I sigh and walk down the hall to the throne room. Suddenly a wave of pain washes over me and I grab the wall sinking to the floor. "No..." I whisper as everything comes back to me. I shoot up tears in my eyes and rush to the throne room only to be met with a group of people. "What the fuck...again" I say as they advance me. "We can stop your pain. Take the chip" A darkskin guy says walking towards me. "Don't take another step." I threaten and he stops, his head turns to the side, but no one is there making me confused. "I know you lost so much... Anya your mother. I can take that pain away" he says making tears form again but I brush them aside. "Don't you dear say her name" I growl making him raise his hands. "You have been asleep for a while Alex. You missed a lot. I can show you" he says stepping forward making me square my shoulders. "Where is Lexa?" I say making him smile. "We are on our way to her now, she is in the throne room. Let me take you to her" he says making me narrow my eyes. "Why should I trust you?" I say tilting my head. "I know the pain that you feel, I lost my son. I never got to see him buried only the mound of dirt he is under. They did the same to you Alex, they couldn't wait till you were awake to bury your own mother. A week, a week you were asleep" he says making my jaw go slack. "W..what?" I whisper. "You used too much of your power. You have been asleep for a week. Your so-called friends and lover? They didn't even let you say goodbye to your mom before they burned her." He says making me fall back into the wall and look down. "No...no your lying!" I shout but he shakes his head and steps closer. "Why would I lie Alex? He can tell you." He says motioning for a warrior I recognized in the guard. "Lu...please tell me it's not true" I beg him, but he just grabs my face gently wiping my tears. "It is true Alex" he says gently making me let a sob out. "I am sorry... It was wrong of Heda to do so" he says hugging me. I take a breath and step back wiping the rest of my tears. "Where...?" I ask trailing off. "I can take you to her, but Heda as blocked off the exits. Blown the elevator. We are trying to stop this before another war happens... she has Roan and Echo prisoner" he says making my eyes snap up to him. "What?" I ask anger rising within me. "In the throne room, Roan is injured, shot. She only has the throne room we are so close...We could use your help" he says making me look at the man. "Thelonius, I am of the sky people. I came to give the commander a new way to survive the radiation. A place where there is no pain, the city of light." He says and I furrow my brows. "I have heard of that" I say, and he smiles. "I found it, it can save us all, but she is being clouded by those who think the radiation can be fixed." He says. "It can't, I have seen it." I say and he nods smiling more. "Come with us, help us...take the chip" he says handing out a chip that looks familiar. "Commanders" I whisper and take the chip looking at it. "I want to see Lexa first" I say, and he nods as I place the chip into my pocket. I walk next to Lu and Thelonius as we approach the doors. "They won't open it for me..." He says nodding at me. "Lexa?" I call trying the door but finding it locked. "Octavia, Clarke.... a few others are in there" Lu whispers making me nod. "Heda? Tavia?... Clarke? is anyone in this hell hole?" I ask getting slightly frustrated now. I hear shuffling and huff. "I can hear whoever is in there, you have 5 seconds to open this fucking door before I come in. Trust me you won't like me when I'm pissed off" I growl. "Alex?" I hear Octavia say through the door. "No, it's the Queen. Yes, it's Alex!" I shout and hear a few laughs. "Hold on..." she says, and I hear a shuffle. As the door opens, I feel two strong arms grab me and the door being burst open. "Hey!" I shout and groan at the pain in my ribs. I feel myself hit the floor and being pinned down a blade digging in my back. "Well fuck" I groan out. I look up to see weapons drawn and Lexa and Clarke in a chair seemingly passed out. "Sorry Alex but we needed in" he says. "All you have to do is take the chip" he tells them, and they don't like that because a fight breaks out and I use all my strength to push the body off me grabbing the blade and stabbing him in the chest. "Sorry" I say and jump up. I look at Lexa and rush over. "What is happening?" I ask Abby. "They are in the city of light trying to stop this" she says, and I nod turning to protect them. I kill a few and I wince at the movement. "You should be resting" she says making me roll my eyes. I jump forward slicing someone's gut and kicking them away. "Feel fine" I say. All of a sudden, I'm on the ground and Lu is choking me. I fight it a bit but then stop and just stare at him. I smile at him closing my eyes welcoming death. I'll get to see my mother again... both of them. I gasp for air one last time blackness taking over then it all stops, making me snap my eyes open. Lu looks like he's seen a ghost. He backs aways fast looking at his hands and Octavia and Lincoln come rushing over to me helping me up. I gasp for air and push them away gently not wanting anyone to touch me. "No...." I whisper tears falling down my eyes. "Al..." Octavia tries but I storm over to Lu. "Why did you stop!" I scream hitting his chest. "Kill me! please..." I beg falling down at his feet. "Alex..." Octavia says kneeling in front of me. I let a sob out and he wraps her arms around me. "Ai gaf ai nomon" I whisper making her hold her tighter. "Alex?" I hear Lexa say softly making me detangle from Octavia. I turn around slowly still on my knees and look at her. I can see the hurt in her eyes and the guilt making me angry. "He was right... wasn't he?" I say making her tilt her head and step a bit closer to me. "I slump down more and let a laugh out. "You burned her already" I whisper, and I hear Octavia take a breath in confirming it. I nod my head done, I have no more anger, sadness, or emotion but numbness in me. "Where is Roan and Echo?" I ask emotionaless looking at her dead in the eye. She looks taken back but quickly hides it. "They are safe, Niko is which then in the other room" she says making me get up and walk to the door without another word.
