chapter 5

the news of the death of Alice's mother spread like fire, everyone in college soon found out. The corpse reached Alice's house and people started to gather to pay their condolences. jenna and jake were the first to arrive and jay, he did not leave Alice alone even for a minute. both of them did not sleep as for alice,she did not eat either.

''Alice, we are so sorry for your loss''

these were the lines Alice kept on hearing and every time she did, she would burst into tears. No matter how hard she tired to control her feelings,she just failed each and every time. jay would then hold her near his chest and let her cry for as long as she wanted to.

it started to get dark and soon everyone was gone. jake and jenna stayed with her till late but they went to.

''you should go home too jay.your parents must be worried. you did not go home yesterday either.''

'' No, it's fine, i live alone''

Alice wanted to ask questions about him living alone but did not have the energy to do so.

''you should sleep now angle''

'how can I? i miss my mum and now here i am all alone in this house, i'm afraid''

''shh, don't be, i'll watch over you, go in your room and sleep, i'll be out here. if you want anything you can just give me a call.''

''oh jay! i love you, thank you so much. how will i ever repay you''

''you already have''

after jay pursuaded Alice to eat something, jay wrapped his arms around alice for a long time they remained like that just when jay noticed Alice fell asleep. He gently picked her up, she was light as a feather, and then placed her softly on her bed, after which jay kept on looking at her and thinking how lucky he is to have her but at the same time thinking how unlucky she is that she fell in love with such a beast.

day's passed and Alice did not leave her house and jay was in constant service to her untill one day jake came in and in a delighted tone said

'' This week was quiet harsh no? lets just put away all the sorrow and lets get out to refresh our selves''

Alice did not say anything.

(jake:) ''Common Alice, how long will you stay like this?''

(jay:)''yes angle, Jake is right common, lets get you dressed and lets go out, jenna go help Alice into something good.''

''No guys please. i don't. i don't feel like it''

jay picked up Alice and took her to her closet and placed her down.

''okay, let me select something for you.Ahh, this white dress looks pretty for an angel.common jenna, the rest is up to you''

after much struggle jenna got Alice ready. walking down the staircase, where jake and jay were sitting suddenly stood up. jay's eye's widened and his jaw dropped.

''close your mouth jay, you might eat a fly,haha''

''shut up jake, damn Alice you look...beautiful''
