The Elementals

Chapter Four: The Explination

(A/N: HEY GUYS!!! SORRY I DIDN'T UPDATE YESTERDAY I WAS OUT ALL DAY AND I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO WRITE IT. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE CHAPTER!!:):))

Autumn's POV:

My eyes flutter open. My head throbs and I'm pretty sure there are burns all over me. I lean on my elbow wincing in pain as I do so and see a huge, white, round building in the middle six floating things, one in which I was sitting under. I noticed that around me was a circle of rocks. Almost like a.....CAMPFIRE!! I quickly scramble to my feet, letting out a small yelp, and try to walk out of the rocks, but I can't. It's as if there's some kind of force field there. I kick and pound on the force field but it doesn't even make a dent. For some reason anger builds up inside of me and I feel myself heat up. I walk over to the force field and try kicking and punching it again. That's when something weird happens. The force field disappears and a ring of fire lights up around me, causing me to stumble back. It slowly rises up until it closes itself above my head. How am I going to get out of here? That's when I did something really stupid. I go up to the fire and put my hand in it. Nothing happens. I put my other hand in it and suddenly feel the urge to set everything on fire. Anger builds up inside me and that's when it all just lets loose. I start screaming and running around, setting everything on fire and end up running out of the fire into the grass. But the thing is my feet aren't on the grass I'm floating. My anger comes to an end and I collapse.

I'm awaken by the sound of talking. It's very faint but I can just make out what their saying.

"....but she's the one we've been waiting for!" A girl whisper screams.
"Yes I know but she could be, well too dangerous.." A boy says.
"Well we can train her to control her powers, that's what this camp is for!"
"I know, I know I just feel that it might be too risky."
"Then why did you send me out to watch her?!"
"I didn't know what her powers were at that point and now that I know...well I'll have to think about it."
"But Nick.."
"No but's, now go and see if she's awake, I'll contact Drew, Josh, and Jade and tell them to get over here asap."
"Ok, and if she's awake what do I do?"
"If she's awake just tell her where she is and get her something to eat."
"Ok"

I here footsteps outside of the door on the far side of the room so I pretend to be sleeping. I hear the door creak open and then shut. Footsteps makes its way to my bed.

The girl quietly says" Autumn?"
I don't reply.
She shakes me a little and says "Autumn, wake up."

This time I open my eyes as if I was sleeping the whole time and let out a yawn. I sit up, feeling no more pain, and look around the room. I see beds lined up on both side of the wall, the door that the girl came in, and tables next to each of the beds. It looked like I was in a hospital..

I look up at the girl and immediately recognize her as the girl who bumped into me.
"Do I know you?" I say
She looks confused but then smiles and says "Yeah, sorry about bumping into you, my names Sydney by the way."
"Nice to meet you Sydney." I say.
"Oh you can call me Syd if you like."
"Ok then nice to meet you Syd."
She starts laughing and I sit there wondering what the heck she's doing.
"Sorry." She says. "I get really giddy sometimes"
"That's ok." I say. "Oh and my names Autumn."
"I know." She says
"How do you know?" I ask.
"Well I kinda was watching you for the past week..."
Stalker alert. I think.
"Okayy..." I say.
"No not like that, I was just watching you to make sure you had your...um powers under control....."
"What powers?"
"We will talk about that later..."
"Ok."
"Follow me." She says getting up and starting towards the door.

I get up and follow her into a huge circular room with six colors on six different doors. One was a light blue that had a dark blue water symbol on it. Another was black and had a skull on it. The door across from that was yellow with white streaks of lightning on it. Next to that door was a light red door with a balance symbol on it. Next to that was a light green door with a leaf on it. Across from that was a reddish orange door that had a fire on it, that brought back bad memories. In the middle of the room there was a white round table with six stools sitting around it. It looked as if it were used for meetings or something professional. Sydney sits down on one of the stools and pats the seat next to her. I walk over to it and sit down.

She hands me a granola bar and a water bottle and says "Eat this."
I unwrap the granola bar and start to eat it.
"So you must have tons of questions but I'll answer all of them for you right now."she says.
"Autumn, you are sitting in a training facility that trains warriors. These people are called the Elementals, each of have a special power related to the elements. Mine is controlling water and some other cool stuff. Yours is well....you know."
"What do you mean?" I ask. "What's mine??"
"Don't you remember?"
"Well I did have a weird dream....I was trapped in this force field thing and then it turned into fire and enclosed around me. I touched the fire and I started to destroy everything that's when I passed out." I say.
"Autumn...that dream....was real." She says nervously.
"Does that mean....?"
"It means that you are...the well um.....element of."
She pauses for a dramatic effect.
"Fire."
