"Mama I'm cold." You whined, entering the living room where Natasha was reading the book on the sofa, a blanket draped around you. Still shivering, you made your way towards Natasha. She looked for her bookmark and closed her book, setting it to the side to give you her undivided attention. She grabbed another blanket and opened her arms.

You didn't waste a second and made yourself comfortable in her embrace. Natasha wrapped the 2nd blanket around the two of you and you sighed, content. "Better?" Asked Natasha.

"So much better." You tried to snuggle closer, if that was even humanly possible. Your face was already tucked under her neck and you pressed you body against hers.

You would've fallen asleep if it wasn't for Natasha moving you. You watched as she got up. "Hey, where are you going?"

"I'm going to make some hot cocoa, I'll be right back." She took the time to re-wrap your blanket and kissed your forehead before leaving.

Bored, you turned on the TV and switched the channel to something you knew you'd like. You end up watching The Santa Close on a kids channel. You had watched it several times already, one more wouldn't hurt.

Natasha came back with two steaming hot cup of hot cocoa in hands. She handed you one and the warmth of the cup against your hand felt so good. "Here. And be careful it's hot!" She warned but you didn't listen. You took a sip without blowing first and immediately regretted your decision, Natasha laughed. "I told you so. You need to listen to mama sometimes."

You snuggled together and watched the movie. Sometimes Natasha would say the lines at the same time.
When the movie came to an end, none of you moved and waited for another one to start.

You looked outside the window, snow was still falling heavily outside. You weren't surprised though, that's just Ohio. Though it meant you were stuck inside.

"This reminds me of when you were younger." Natasha admitted, cutting through your peaceful silence.

She smiled, reminiscing some memories as she began to play with your hair. You lifted your head up just a tiny bit, and noticed the dopey smile on her face.

"Does it?"

"Yeah we used to come here often, I don't know why we stopped. And when it snowed we would cuddle and watch movies. You would always fall asleep halfway through and I'd have to carry you to bed. But even asleep you didn't want to let go of me so we both ended up in my bed." She recalled and so did you.

You remembered the endless amount of nights spent in this couch watching Christmas movies. All these nights where you fell asleep on the couch and magically woke up in bed. And all the other nights you pretended to be asleep just so she would carry you, though looking back on those times Natasha probably knew. You couldn't keep anything from the Black Widow after all.

"Well what can I say... you're comfy." You shrugged and focused on the TV as Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas started.

"You loved that thing so much when you were younger. We had the DVD and you asked for it to be played on a loop." Your mother informed you halfway through the movie.

It was funny because you didn't remember seeing it. "Really?"

"Yep. I would've told you no but when I didn't want to deal with your tantrums that was nice." She said and your cheeks went a dozen shades of pink darker. "Aww don't worry my sweet darling girl, I still love you a painful amount... even if you used to throw fits because I wouldn't let you taste yellow snow."

"Eww."

"Yeah but you were 2 so we couldn't expect more of you you know?!" She continued teasing, it seemed like tonight was her night.

"Wow you're in a teasing mood tonight aren't you?" You rhetorically questioned and you left it at that.

When the movie was over, you turned off the TV but none of you moved. Like the old times, you had a tight grip on her and didn't want to let go. So, Natasha carried you upstairs and into her bedroom. It became like a second nature now.

"Before you were born, I used to drive past this house on my way to Melina's. There was a family before us, a single mother with 3 children. Every time I drove past, I could see the three children playing through the window whilst their mother cooked, or they were all watching a movie together like we were now." Natasha said out of nowhere.

"And one day, I noticed the house was empty and up for sell. I bought it when I found out I was pregnant with you. I was hoping that we'd make the same type of memories... and we did."

"This is everything I've been dreaming of."
