To say you were nervous would be an understatement. You had a special present, and you knew everyone would love it, but still.
You took one big breath before walking in the compound. You hadn't been there in a little while due to moving away as part of your job. But being back home felt nice.
You entered the living room and saw everyone gathered there like the old times.
It was shocking that no one noticed your presence so you made yourself known. "Hello there."
Your mother was the first one to jump out of her seat. "Y/nnnnnnn!" She ran and engulfed you into a hug. Her body collided with yours with such force you thought you'd fall. "What are you doing here?! I thought you weren't supposed to be here until tomorrow morning."
"Well I wanted to surprise you guys and spend one more day with you all." You shrugged. It was no big deal.
Natasha finally let "go". She only released you from the hug, but kept a tight grip on your hand. I guess that's what's bound to happen when it's been six months since you last saw your mother.
"I'm so happy you're here." Her hand stroked your cheek like she always does and you feel finally at home.
After the fuss, you got help unloading the car. With all the presents in the trunk, you needed the extra hands.
You smiled placing each gifts under the tree. It began to feel like Christmas again.
"Come here. You owe me some cuddles." Natasha called you from the couch. She deemed you took too much time and even started pouting and making grabby hands like a toddler.
"You're such a child sometimes, you're supposed to be the adult and responsible one in this relationship." You laughed as you walk towards the couch and made yourself comfortable next to the redhead. "Maybe I should exchange your present for a toy."
"What did you even get me? I said no gifts darling." Natasha groaned.
"I know, but this one is very special." At that, the redhead got up and searched through the presents for the one that said 'to mama from y/n'. "Hey! What are you doing? It's isn't Christmas yet!" You chuckled, thinking she wasn't actually gonna open it but she did. She started ripping the paper open and pushed you back down when you tried to stop her.
"Oh shush."
"Mamaaaaa. No, please." You eventually snatched the gift away from her and held it behind your back. Natasha literally had to straddle your lap so you would so moving away from her. "But the surprise..."
Natasha stayed there until you caved though. "Okay fine, open it."
She unwrapped the paper gently, starting but the tape. By the looks of it, it looked like you got her a watch.
Was that your special present?!
"What the-"
"LANGUAGE!"
"Good to know Steve isn't deaf." You joked to fill in the silence. You heard Natasha snicker but that was it.
You watched as she open the box. She looked perplexed to say the least. She pulled out all the tissue paper and found a small pouch under. "Y/n, are you serious?"
"Very."
She huffed and took out the pouch, leaving the box on the side. She opened it and as soon as her fingers reached the object to pull it out, she figured it out.
"Nooooooo." She dragged out. She began to cry, and you started to as well. You weren't planning on crying today, otherwise you would've put on waterproof mascara on. "You can't be serious? Are you fucking kidding me?"
"Langua-" Steve started, however he was cut off by one of Natasha's glare. Don't mess with the Black Widow.
"Oh my God, that's so exciting!" She pulled you into a hug and you both cried into each others arms.
"Congratulations darling." She whispered into your ears but still didn't let go. The others started to honestly get worried, they had never seen any of you cry this much.
"I had another present as well but I might just give it to you now." You pulled out another gift from the pile. The kids around were jealous Natasha got to open presents early but quickly ended their tantrums when they got offered cookies.
Natasha carefully opened the box again to reveal a little onesie, a small beanie and a pair of little woollen slippers that fit a newborn.
"Awww it's so tiny." She said through her cries. "I remember when you used to fit in those."
You thought she was seriously about to start one of those embarrassing stories about you still in your diapers or something, but thankfully she didn't.
"God I can't wait to go shopping for that little bean."
"Hey that's my nickname! Find another one!" Yelena slapped her sister's arms.
It was without surprise when Natasha took you shopping the next day, and already bought a whole wardrobe for the little one.
