"Y/n? Are you ready to go darling?" Natasha called out for you and you came into the room running, dressed in your little yellow raincoat and boots. You stood in front of her and held up your hands to be picked up when Natasha noticed something missing. "Do you have your backpack sweetheart?" Pouting, you turned around ad started waddling elsewhere. Natasha waited for you to come back with your backpack which you did, as fast as you could.

She took your little hand in hers, and you made towards the front door. She was just about to close it when you pushed it open with all your strength and rush inside. "Wait! Mama! We can forget Amber!" She heard you yell from the house and rolled her eyes. Of course you were gonna take your stuffed animal with you. "Now we go!" You announced, coming back.

Natasha quickly locked the door, and you were off... to god knows where.

You made Natasha carry you and waved at the house as she walked away, further down the sidewalk. "Bye bye house!" You innocently said, and it was one of the things Natasha adored about you.

You made it to the train station fifteen minutes later, and Natasha sat you down next to her on one of the benches on the platform of the station

"Where we going?"

"You don't remember?" You shook your head and Natasha chuckled softly. "We're going to the big city!" You gasped wide-eyed. You loved going to the big city.

Natasha made the decision four years ago to move to the suburbs, leaving her busy life in New York City behind to be able to focus more on you. She also had the opportunity to open her own dance studio there which was her dream, of course she wasn't going to miss that occasion.

She loved her New York City life, but as she became a mother, a more slow paced life felt more appropriate for her.

"We're going to take the train, and we're going to go to a dance shop." She watched as your smile got wider, and your eyes sparkled in excitement. "Yeah, we're going to buy you your own ballet shoes! What do you think?"

"We go on the train for new dancing shoes? I gonna try it on?" You jumped in your seat and Natasha had to hold you down so you wouldn't slip and fall. It would be a shame if you hurt yourself right before you started

"Yes! You're going to get to try them on, you get to look in the mirror, you can do some pliés."

You slipped out of your seat carefully and Natasha watched as you placed your hand on your hips and bent your knees. You had seen her and her students do pliés ever since you were born, she wasn't even surprised that you knew how to do one without being taught. "Me practice my pliés! Look!"

Natasha smiled softly at your effort and lowly clapped her hands, "Wow, well done my love." She grabbed you when you stopped showing off your ballet knowledge and tickled you, the sound was music to her ears. She released you after realizing you were getting out of breath, but apparently nothing could stop you as you tugged on her hand. Natasha was perplexed.

"Let's go mama, let's go! I want to pick my own ballet shoes!" You kept on tugging on her hand, but Natasha didn't budge.

"Hold on darling, we have to wait for the train to arrive."
