30 - Chapter Thirty - Luca's Point Of View.

Demitri sent Theo to go nap, and while he did this, he set the baby down in the bassinet, and I watched her rock for a few minutes before I picked her up and sat on the couch. She was so tiny, and worried about hurting her, but I needed to hold her.

"Luca could you—oh nevermind, I can do it."

I looked up, and Demitri was watching me with the baby.

"Demitri relax. I've held plenty of babies. She is fine with me."

"I know... I'm going to collect the dogs now. I'll be back after I let them outside, too."

"Alright, we will be here."

He gave one more look before he walked off. I understood his desire to protect her. She was small and looked like Theo. She was a part of Theo.

Theo crept out of the bedroom, one of my t-shirts on, and that was it.

"Is Dem gone? He must be. You're holding the baby."

"Demitri is just protective of her. I get it though. She's a part of you, and Demitri cares about and now her. I think I am just as guilty of that as well. I took one look at her and knew."

"Luca. I understand what you mean. The minute I set my eyes on her—-"

"I think for Demitri, it was the same. He saw you in her, and he was a goner. Demitri has a soft spot for you. Clearly your daughter now too."

"If I would have known, all it would take is the give the man my baby to make him—--"

"To make him what, Theo?" Demitri said, walking into the kitchen from the hall.

"Where are the dogs?" I asked, before Theo could put his foot in his mouth.

"Maddox refused to give them up just yet. Ares is having too much fun with them, and they are keeping him busy. So much so that Maddox has been able to get work and cleaning done."

"Well, he can have them any time he likes. Ares is a precious little bean." Theo said, before looking at the baby in my arms.

"Did you want her?"

"Let me pee and wash my hands, and I'll take her." He said, before heading to the bathroom.

Demitri sat on the couch on the other side of me and let his head fall back on the top.

"Can I have a kiss?" He said, catching me completely off guard.

"If you want—-"

"I do."

Watching the baby, he was careful to keep from disturbing her as he leaned down and gave me a kiss.

"Watching you two get personal gives me such a warmness in my chest."

Demitri sat back down and Theo made his way over and sat down on Demitri's lap, facing him.

"Can I help you?"

"I want a kiss, too. I want one from Luca first, though. I miss him more. I haven't seen him in days."

He pulled the same movement as Demitri and gave me a tender kiss. Corinna started fusing, and he pulled back and looked at her.

"I get it, but they are mine, too. You need to share." Theo sighed.

"Theo?" I asked.

"Hmm?"

"Maddox explained how she came to be, and Marco's behaviour and I don't like it. I don't think this was an accident. This is the perfect way to link you both together for life. They are siblings."
