RDJ x Y/N (reader is 14)
Y/N's pov
Today I get to do my first stunt. It basically involves me "falling off" a cliff after being hit by a hydra agent or something like that. I'm really excited but also nervous. I dont want anything bad to happen.
I arrive on set for hair and makeup and make my way over to the harness I had to be put in. As I walked over I heard a familiar voice.
"Y/N!!" Robert says as he catches up to me.
Rob and I have a special connection, not just because I'm his little sister in the film but we have worked on projects before and always end up goofing around for the entire filming. Rob first met me back when I was 4 for the iron man movie and since then we've been inseparable.
"Hey Rob!" I say as I wrap my arms around him.
"You excited for your stunt?" He asks as he pulls away.
"Yea but I'm really nervous. What if something goes wrong or what if I get scared or what if-
"Hey listen, he says as he sets his hand on my shoulders and kneels down, Nothings going to happen, the Russo brothers have made sure everything is safe and even if by chance something does go wrong you are in safe hands ok?" He says genuinely and he kisses my forehead.
"Yea you're right, I'm getting too worked up over it" I say.
We walk over to the harness and I strap in. I give them a thumbs up and I'm raised into the air. I will be falling a couple feet which should be ok. Ok time for the big moment
"3 2 1 ACTION" someone shouts
I pretend to fight the agents and let one of them "hit" me so I fall. I feel the harness drop at an alarming quick rate, this wasn't meant to happen. Oh shit, something's gone wrong, you know how I know?
Because everyone is shouting
Roberts POV
I know Y/N's nervous for today but I reassured her she'll be just fine. She goes up in the harness and one of the crew members shout action. She does her scene and then falls. Something isn't right
She wasn't meant to fall that quick.
I give a worried glance towards the brothers but from the look of their faces and their frantic movements, they fucked something up
"STOP THE HARNESS" someone shouts
"WE CAN'T IT WONT STOP" another shouts
I have a sick feeling in my stomach
And that's when I hear it
A slap
And a cry
I look over my shoulder and see Y/N on the ground, she's crying, she's in horrible pain.
My father instincts took over and I ran towards her, carefully kneeling beside her.
"Oh my god" I whisper as I see her condition.
She has bruises and cuts, definitely a broken arm and somethings wrong with her leg.
"Hey sweetie" I say softly
All I get back is a cry
"SOMEONE CALL 9-1-1" I shout as I provide any comfort I can for Y/N
I hear my fellow cast mate Chris Evans sprint over to us and I see his face drop.
"What the fuck happened?" he whispers as he drops beside her.
"Her stunt went horribly wrong, she was only meant to fall a couple of feet and ended up falling the whole way down" I say sadly
"I'm s-sorry"
I look at the little girl, my little sister, she thinks it's her fault.
Lord have mercy
"Y/N sweetie it's not your fault ok? You did nothing wrong but unfortunately it was a horrific event. Help is on the way and myself and Chris and gonna stay with u until they arrive ok?" I tell her
She nods but stiffles a cry as she does so.
"Rob I know you're not gonna like this but they said we need to flip her onto her back" a crew member says to me.
I dont want to
She might....break
I look at Chris and we both nod.
"Y/N, we have to turn you onto your back hunny I'm so sorry. We'll let you know when we're gonna do it ok?" she squeezes her eyes shut as a sign of nodding.
"3"
"2"
"1"
"Now"
We manage to turn her over as she screams out in pain. I feel so so horrible, she's only 14, she's doesn't deserve this. Her sobs die down after a while and paramedics arrive. They take her away to the ambulance but just as they're about to put her in she says something that I can't quite catch.
I see a paramedic run over to me
"Hey Mr Robert Downey Junior, Y/N wants you to come with her, and since she needs and adult with you I guess you really need to go with her" he tells me
"Yea yea of course"
We make our way over and I sit in the back with Y/N, holding and caressing her hand as we ride in.
Long story short, she was rushed into the hospital and was diagnosed with a broken arm, sprained knee, dislocated shoulder, major bruising on the back and some cuts and bruises. She took a month of filming and she was as good as new when she came back.
