Y/N's POV
Having picnic outside of my house with my mom was one of my favorite things to do. We're like sisters and since I spend most my time at the tower, we love getting to spend time with each other.
Mom raised me as a single parent (queen) and I'm forever grateful for that. She's my rock and I love her.
We go outside and sit on the bench and eat the sandwiches I packed as we gaze on the view of the sunrise in front of us
"So, anything interesting going on?" My mom asked
"Not really, schools boring and oh! The avengers say hi!" I tell her
"Y/N, you know I love you right?" She tells me as she reaches out for my hand.
I take her hand into mine and she glides her thumb on my palm.
"I know mom, I love you too"
She smiles at me. We sit in comfortable silence before I feel her hand going off mine. I don't say anything until
"Y/N?" My mom says.
I look over to her and notice she's disintegrating I panic and I try think of what to do but before I know it
"MOM!? MOM!?" I shout at the sky.
Shit
Thus can't be good
I quickly grab my phone off the table and start running to the place I would call my second home. I dial a number into my phone as fast as my fingers would let me and pressed the big green button. About two rings in someone picked up.
"Kid?"
"Tony?"
"Yea it's me what's up?"
"Im coming over I need to know what the fuck is happening right now" I tell him as I notice more people or disintegrating.
"What do you mean?" He asks, oblivious to what's happening.
"Im 2 minutes away" I tell him as I hang up.
I run up to stark tower before shouting.
"TONY? STEVE? NAT? ANYONE?"
All three of them rush outside.
Funny how a child can alert the world's mightiest hero's with just a scream
"What's wrong Y/N" Nat asks as she looks at me wide eyed.
"Do you not know what's happening right now?" I ask them
They all shake their heads.
"Half of New York is fading away and I saw it with my own eyes!!" I tell them
Then they do something I don't expect.
They laugh.
"W-what?"
"Your creative kid" Tony says.
"I'm not fucking around my moms dead and I don't know what's happening or what's gonna happen to all of you but you better find a cure for this and get my mother back or I'll have your heads!" I raise my voice at them.
I sigh and make my way into the compound.
"Half of new York's gone you said?" Steve recalls.
"They all started dusting when I walked down into the city, my mom one minute was holding my hand and the next minute she was gone" I say trying not to choke up.
"Sorry about your mom kid, and sorry for laughing at you. We genuinely thought that you were joking" Tony says as he sits down
"Don't worry about it" I say as I grab a blanket and sit on the couch.
Within seconds the darkness consumes me
And I'm at peace again
