Tony's POV
The words Natasha said have been replaying through my head, about how I should adopt Y/N and make her a Stark. I'd love to do that but I don't want her to think I'm trying to replace her mum or dad.
Y/N's been doing ok for the last few weeks. Obviously she's depressed and she's in therapy but overall I see a huge weight lifted off her shoulders.
Y/N has been living in the tower since her mom passed. She's really enjoying it here and she continues to go to school everyday except weekends. She learns combat training from Nat and Clint and she also learns skills such at rock climbing and stuff.
She's bonded well with all the avengers. They all treat her as if she's a little puppy. It makes me laugh sometimes. She's like a baby being passed around from one avengers to the next.
It's Monday the 7th of March and I've made up my mind.
I'm adopting Y/N.
At the moment she's at combat training with Nat and Clint so I'm going to ask her later. After another 10 minutes she come upstairs.
"Y/N!" I call
She whips her blonde hair towards me and smiles when she sees me.
"Hey tones! What's up?"
She always calls me Tones. I find it stupid but she's the only one I will allow me call it. Not even Rhodey can.
"Can you sit down for a minute?" I ask
"Course, what's up you look stressed?" She says with a chuckle.
"Me and the team have been thinking about this for a while and we wanted to give you this"
I reveal a brown envelope with her name on the front. She chuckles.
"What is this?"
"You'll have to open it and see"
"Is there a spider in there?"
"No there's no spider"
"A dinosaur?"
"A dinosaur- Y/N they're extinct of course it's not a dinosaur"
"I'm only messing with you old man"
She takes the letter out of the envelope gently as her eyes scan over it. She suddenly squeals.
"NO WAY!!" She shouts as her hand covers her mouth.
"YOU WANT TO ADOPT ME!?" I'm confused as to whether she's happy or angry.
"How does Y/N Stark sound?" I ask.
She wraps her arms around me and gives me the biggest hug ever. Like I'm going to war or something. I wrap my arms around her and I enjoy the moment. She pulls back and shouts.
"IM A STARK NOW! I GOTTA GO TELL NAT" she runs off and goes to Nat who is just around the corner listening to our conversation. She nearly bumps into Nat as she turns the corner but Natasha catches her in a hug.
"TONY ADOPTED ME NAT!" She says holding the papers out excitedly. I haven't seen her this HAPOY in ages. It's really nice to see.
"That's wonderful sweetie" she says.
"What's all the shouting about?" Steve says, emerging from the kitchen.
"I GOT ADOPTED BY TONY!" She says as she jumps up and down.
"That's amazing ,Y/N Stark!" He replies
She chuckled happily.
It's nighttime now and it's time for bed. I walk Y/N up to her room and let her get changed before coming in to say goodnight.
"Tony wait-
I turn around to her.
"Can you- maybe stay the night?"
"Like a sleepover?"
"Mhm"
"Of course!!"
I jump into her bed with her and she lays her head on my chest as I play with her hair.
I hear her breathes start to even out, signalling she's falling asleep.
"Love you Y/N"
"I love you too dad"
My heart skips a beat but I decided not to freak out as I don't want to disrupt her sleep.
She called me dad.
No taking back of it
