At this present moment I'm in an argument with Steve Rogers. The reason of the argument happened on the mission we had earlier this morning. My powers include mind reading and telekinesis but I haven't been able to master them as I have only found out about them for about a month.
When I found out I had powers, I had gotten emails from Nick Fury to come to the tower to help me with them. Obviously I was confused yet excited. I arrived and was welcomed. Tony and I became really close and life was good.
But I never really got taught how to use my powers due to the older avengers being on missions all the time and too busy to deal with me. Even though I don't have much power they find me useful so they brought me on todays mission.
Basically I had to interrogate him or something and also go into his mind. Me and Tony walked to the cell the prisoner was kept in.
"You sure your ok going in on your own?" Tony asks me.
"I'll be fine Tones don't worry"
I walk inside and the man eyes me up and down, creep.
"What a little girl like you doing in here?" He asks.
He probably was in his mid 40s. He had chestnut hair with hazel eyes and was really tall
"I'm not a little girl and I'm being forced to interrogate an idiot instead of getting sleep. So you going to tell me what I want to know or else we can do it the hard way"
"What's the hard way?" He asks, curiously
"You'll see"
We sit in silence before I realised he isn't going to say anything.
"Hard why it is" I sigh as I enter his mind.
Tony's POV
I walk back down the corridor to the kitchen when I hear a scream
Y/N's
I rush quickly back down the hall and open the door to see Y/N holding her head and panting.
"Kid what's happening talk to me" I say as I walk up to her.
"She's perfectly fine Tony, she's obeyed the rules and she's getting punished"
I scoff at him and bring Y/N out of the room, she's calmed down a lot but whatever happened in there scared the shit out of her.
We walked into the meeting room where Y/N was to give her feedback about what happened.
One things for sure
Steve, who was holding the meeting, looked mad
Y/N's POV
I kinda forgot to mention that I wasn't really meant to go into his mind. That was kinda an if you dying option. So I'm bracing myself to be shouted at.
"Are you fucking kidding me Y/N!?" Steve says the minute I walk in.
I look up at him, he's never shouted at me before. I mumble a sorry and sit on my chair.
"No come on! We talked about you going forward with dumb ideas!! What if you saw something that no one was meant to see!! What if you died!?"
"Steve I-
"Honestly Y/N! How could you possibly screw up this bad!?"
I feel panicked now
I feel hurt
And I feel betrayed
And stupid
And unworthy
I look up at him with teary eyes. Shaking my head in disbelief.
"WHAT!?" He shouts at me
"Your a bad friend Steve" I say as I jump up from my chair and leave the room.
Tony's POV
"Are you kidding me Steve?" I say, raising my voice.
"She's a kid Steve, no one's helped her with her powers, she didn't know what to do and did what anyone else would have" Nat says.
Steve sighs angrily before returning to the meeting like nothing happened.
My mind is set on Y/N. I believe she made the right choice but she's just a kid also.
The meeting ends and I'm the first to walk out of the room to Y/N's bedroom. I knock on the door and don't get a reply so I walk in. She's...packing a bag.
"Y/N?" I ask
She looks at me with teary eyes. I realise what's she's doing.
"No, no sweetie it's ok" I say as I shut the door and engulf her in a hug.
"ITS OBVIOUS HE DOESNT WANT ME HERE!!" She shouts in rage.
"Let it out kid" I tell her.
"I just did what I thought was right because I wasn't going back empty handed!!"
"I- I just wanted to be like an avenger"
Steve's POV
I pass Y/N's room where she went to after the meeting to find her shouting at someone or something.
"ITS OBVIOUS HE DOESNT WANT MR HERE!!"
"I just wanted to be like an avenger"
My heart breaks.
I stepped way over line.
