Christmas was coming, and Cecilia had bought a bag of peppermints and holiday cards. She wanted to make a holiday gift for all of her friends and her love interests too.

In her basement, she started to write cards and each person had a specialized message that was made with love and a poorly drawn drawing. It's ok though. Cecilia is no artist.

She felt a lot more chipper this christmas, almost as if she was on cloud 9. Her christmas was bountiful and the spirit that she had was more genuine.

Card by card, she wrote her heart out for her friends.

"Addy, you are like my twin from another mother. You never fail to make me smile and I love that you are always yourself, plus, you are an amazing artist."

"Chichi, you've been by my side since middle school. We've been through thick and thin and even through one of the worst high schools in the universe. But, I'm glad that I was able to do it with you."

She even wrote letters to a few of her old friends that don't go to her college.

"Maggie, we've been friends since we were babies. You are the best pet sitter anybody could ever ask for as well!"

"Bella, from cheer to fangirling, we never not have a great time together."

"Stella, your mother who always had a wacky story or two to tell made times with you soo relatable, yet fun!"

That's when she got down to her list and starting thinking about both Joesph and Evan. She wanted to write letters to both of them, but was scared to deliver them and see them read it with their own eyes.

Cecilia started with Joesph and she could feel her whole body start to sweat.

Come on, you can do this. You've been dying to for months. Just say what you need to get off of your chest.

She took a deep breath and started to write.

"You and I met in food science. It was just the right time that we met. After getting out of a bad relationship, it was like a crazy incident that we first saw each other. I never noticed you before, and I never thought that we would be going to the same college, let alone be in the same program. It was crazy, let me tell you that. From high school to now, we've been through a bit. I've been delighted to be your study partner and get through the class that was hospitality technologies and even getting to know you too, time always seemed to fly by when we were together. A simple question would turn into an hour long study session, not like I'm complaining. I enjoyed it."

"P.S: It was you all along"

She closed the letter and started to write his name in her cursive writing. Then, she decorated the letter with peppermints assorted in a heart shape.

That wasn't so bad, was it?

Then, she started to write Evan's, but she felt like he wouldn't care and just throw it out.

Fuck it, she bought all of these supplies, so she's going to write one.

"Evan, I never expected you to come into my life. Really though, I was taken aback by the way that you were. You never failed to surprise me with the way that you were. If it was charming, daring, or even a bit irritable, everytime I felt like I was on a ride with you. You made my life interesting, and were there for me in the most unexpected of ways. Sometimes, it was like you were a different person in front of me, like you were not the normal Evan. I like that part of you the best. I know at times it can be hard for me to open up to you, I'm trying my best for you. There are many moments that we had together that I will never forget. There was the good, the bad, and everything in between."

"P.S: This is the surprise that I was talking about. Surprise!"

While writing Evan's letter, she started to feel tears drop onto the letter. No no no!

Everytime she thought about Evan, the thought of "failing him" loomed over her mind. She would remember the times that they had, while they were short lived, they gave her excitement in her life. That one night kept on haunting her, and even though Evan was kind and gentle to her, she felt like he would have hurt her if she couldn't do what she was told to do.

She dried out whatever tears were there and quickly shut the letter.

She did the same design that she did on Joesph's letter, but instead of writing his name, she wrote "E". Nobody needs to know that it's him.

Speaking of him,

She placed an order for all of his presents to be delivered on Christmas Eve. The total ended up being $250. It was a hit to her savings, that's for sure. Plus, they were geting delivered to his house in Maryland.

She never did this to a guy before, and she felt wrong.

But, she trusts him enough to do that for him, she's selfless. She gives gives and gives.

Never receives.
