Cecilia panicked the rest of the week. What did she just do?

When she got home, she was feeling all sorts of emotions. Fear, mania, chaos, giddy, and for some strange reason, turned on even more.

Everything was going all over the place and Cecilia was not ready for what was going on.

"I just did that." She gasped at herself.

The first thing she did was take a long swig of mouthwash and then she started to pray.

Cecilia was never religious, but she needed some Jesus and a little bit of therapy.

That was when she realized that she did a forbidden deed, a deed that one could never speak of.

"This isn't right for me, at all."

Finally, that night, she cut off Evan for good.

She didn't tell him, just ghosted him and deleted all of his texts.

Yet, for some reason, it felt like she was taking a step back in the wrong direction.

In the meantime, Kyle was at work and he would be busy for the night. Cecilia decided that it was best to occupy her mind and focus on her quickbooks.

She attempted to work on the quickbooks until a text from Kyle rang through.

"I know this might be a little bit last minute, but would you like to go on a date with me?"

Cecilia's heart dropped and then felt empty.

"Yeah, I would just have to ask my parents. You know how they get."

"I'm sure they will say yes."

Cecilia bit her lip. Earlier, her parents have found out about Kyle, and their reaction was all positive. Truthfully, they found it adorable that she was able to meet somebody after a horrible 2022.

Yet, why did she feel like talking about him was a chore and being with him felt empty?

Maybe, it's because she has a lot on her mind. She can now solely focus on Kyle.

She walked to the living room and her parents were watching a baseball game.

"Hey. Kyle from my classes asked me out on a date. We have off from class this Tuesday. Is it ok if I go with him?"

Her mom's face lit up.

"Awwww, that's adorable! Of course you can go! I'm so happy for you."

She hugged her daughter.

"I'm sure he is a sweet boy."

Cecilia nodded, she should feel happy but she felt indifferent about it all.

As she was about to head to bed, her phone started to ring. It was Kyle. The two of them started to run a joke about a word that meant something else the whole time.

"No, Cinnamon is a classical music created by Beethoven."

"No, that's a symphony. cinnamon is a plant that you seen in a desert."

"No, that's a cactus. Cinnamon is a set of fruits."

"No, that's citrus. Cinnamon is what you wear."

"No, that's clothes. Cinnamon is the zodiac sign of December."

"No silly. That's Capricorn. Cinnamon is a type of cookie."

"No that's chips ahoy. Cinnamon is a type of burning item."

" no, that's a candle. Cinnamon is one of my favorite drinks."

"That's coffee. Cinnamon is what you do when you eat something spicy"

Cecilia laughed.

" I think I know what it is, but I don't want to really say."

" Say it. You can tell me anything and I won't bat an eye."

"Is it shitting?"

Kyle snorted.

"Ding. Ding. Ding."

"How did I know?"

"Little Miss IBD knows what it's like."

" I like spicy food though."

"So you like shitting your brains out?"

" I hate being constipated, I get sad. Plus, it just doesn't feel right. You know, with my condition, you are either constipated for a week or pooping every 5 minutes."

"Never in my life have I ever met somebody that gets happy over pooping."

"It's the little things, buddy."

"You're something else."

He was at work and she could hear him throwing something and it made a huge sound.

"What was that?"

"Oh, just the trash. Nothing to worry about."

"It sounds like it's a lot."

"Pain in the ass to even open up a lid. It's cold as fuck out here. And what is it? 10pm? 10 PM in March is brutal."

He shivered.

"And let me guess, you didn't bundle up? You're going to get sick."

"Muffin, that's a myth your mother probably told you ever since you were young."

" I'm sorry, I just worry like your mother."

"It's all right, you're lucky I find you cute."

" We're both at risk to get sick and I don't want you to fall ill. But hey, at least spring time is coming."

"Allergy season."

"Oh, you have allergies?"

"Yes ma'am, and I get them horribly."

"Will anything work on them."

"Probably not, baby cakes. But, you can always carry some tissues for me just in case."

"You know me, I'm always stocked. Snacks, tissues, Benadryl's, just in case."

"Hell yeah baby you are. You got everything on you. And I mean everything. For a girl your height and size, I'm surprise you're loaded."

"In what kind of context?"

"I'm surprised you have a nice rack, fine ass hips, and a sweet peach."

Cecilia was grossed out.

"Thanks." She didn't know what to say.

"Alright, let's change the topic. I can't wait to see you on Tuesday. I hate when we're not together, everything just feels wrong."

" I can't wait too, what did you want to do?"

"You told me, you want some Boba, then we can get that. We can go bowling together and you said you wanna get some sushi, I know a few good places near me. That sound good?"

"Yes, that sounds great."

She started to yawn.

"Getting tired?"

"Yeah, I have work in the morning. What time do you have work until?"

"1 in the morning. I know, it's horrible."

"Jeez. What do they have you doing?"

"Working my ass off. You know that feeling."

"For sure."

"I'll let you go to sleep, baby."

"Thank you."

"Goodnight beautiful."

"Goodnight sweet pea."

She ended the call and went into her covers.
