9. Aegon

On their walk back, Ned, Sandor and Jaime were confident that they were safe at least safer and were able to enjoy the scenery and not worry about getting eaten. But then they heard giant footsteps coming their way and all sense of peace and tranquility was gone.

Aegon was their T rex, the largest one and one of their oldest. He looked fierce had a lot of scars over the years but when he saw Lena he ran to the group.

"RUN!" Ned declared but Owen put a hand on him stopping him.

"He will think you are playing a game and chase you." Lena corrected. "And you don't want to get caught." She added.

"He doesnt catch gently." Maisie agreed.

"There are certain dinosaurs you run, weaving and ducking and hiding. Some you climb from and others you say oh fuck run and a prayer... Others you greet head on." Lena went on as Aegon shuffled to a stop before them and the group sucked in a breath, saying a prayer.

"Oh fuck." Sandor grumbled.

"We... greet him... head on?" Jaime whispered nervously.

"How is my big handsome man!" Lena declared as Aegon wiggled his butt before sitting down. The ground shook around them. Then he lay with the thud, again the ground shook and Arya was knocked off her feet by the ground shaking. She fell back into Sandor and he awkwardly helped her up, she shrugged him off moving closer to Maisie and Lena much to Neds horror.

"What the hell was that?" Cersei demanded. "Where is Jaime? Where is my brother!" she shouted.

"He is in good hands." Ellie assured.

"The ground is shaking." Sansa countered. "Why was the ground shaking?"

"Aegon is probably with them." Ellie offered.

"Aegon? You name your dinosaurs after Targaryen cunts!" Cersei spat.

"Maybe we name a dinosaur after you one day, your grace." Ellie mused.

Lena had a rule and although naming a dinosaur after Cersei and having to call Cersei's name throughout the island was a downside it would also mean that Cersei was killed by one of their dinosaurs. Something Ellie was sure Westeros would thank them for in the long run.

"Good boy!" Lena coed as Aegon rolled over. "He is a big love." Lena assured rubbing along his side. He scratched his back on the ground scaring the birds out of the trees. Arya was loving this. She ran up behind Lena and reached a hand out mimicking Maisie.

"Don't be shy." Lena coed glancing back. "Or is the little girl the bravest of all of you?"

"She is." Maisie agreed, wondering what it would be like to have a sister.

"This is Aegon. Aegon Targaryen... you know you have the Grady family to thank you saving westeros from a lot of bad rulers." Lena remarked innocently.

"You are amazing Lena Grady." Jaime whispered as she grabbed his hand putting it on Aegon.

"Amazing eh?" Lena mused she looked to him. Jaimes face so close to hers she felt his breath on her face.

His lips barely grazed hers when Aegon got up startling them back a step.

Cersei practically jumped on Jaime when they got back to the compound and Lenas smile faltered.

She knew they were twins. Family. But there was something strange about the way Cersei looked at Jaime that made Lena think it was more than just sibling love.

Lena watched Cersei kiss Jaimes cheek her touch lingering and Lena felt so stupid.

"Lena?" Owen questioned drawing her back to the moment.

"I have some work to do." Lena mumbled as she headed to her lab.

"You want me to get you when suppers ready?"

"Lost my apitite." Lena corrected. "I will see you tomorrow."

"Lena whats really going on?"

"Nothing." Lena assured. "Im great. Everyone survived day one. Its a good day." Lena assured as she walked off.

"Whats wrong with Lena?" Maisie asked coming uo behind Owen.

"You know her, always working on something." Owen offered wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Come on lets see if we cant find some sweets before supper."
