mother had said her father passed away while she was an infant but for years it hurt less knowing she had her by her side. homelessness and poverty barely covers the misery of her recent struggles to get into sophomore year. it's only been a school term and she's asked to go home and learn mother perished while birthing her little sister. grief to her frail heart.
she's alone, solicitude beckons her as the cards of hope tumble down becoming orphaned.
