MARCH, 2019... THIRTY TWO YEARS LATER...
"Mom?! Do you have my information stuff?" Robert's voice shouted down the staircase of Ashley's home in San Diego, after moving once again to the new base of TOP GUN.
"Its on the table" Ashley shouted back.
A thunderous thud of boots running down the stairs echoed through the house, thoroughly waking Ashley up, still tired from the night before.
"Have you got everything?" Ashley asked, standing up and making another cup of coffee for work
"Yeah, I think so"
"Good. If you've forgotten anything, you can collect or give me a shout. I'll be around base somewhere"
"Okay" Robert spoke, heading back through the living room before stopping and turning around, "Oh! No embarrassing me, please"
"Understood, Lieutenant Floyd" Ashley joked as Robert rolled his eyes and shaking his head as he headed back upstairs to collect his bags.
She drove Robert off to the base and headed inside to her office
"Ah, good morning Captain Thompson." Cyclone spoke as Ashley headed towards her office
"Good morning, Vice Admiral" Ashley spoke
"Young Robert settling in?"
"Yeah. Just dropped him off" Ashley spoke, taking off her outer jacket and hanging it up on the coat peg in her office.
"There's someone I'd like you to greet later on this afternoon" Cyclone spoke
"Who is it?"
"I'd rather keep that confidential for now" Cyclone said before leaving the office
"That's not fair, Beau!" Ashley shouted as Cyclone chuckled while he walked down the corridor. She sat down on her chair and looked at the picture she kept on her desk of her, Trevor and Robert, letting out a smile.
A while later, Ashley collected her helmet and went out to her plane that was in the hanger, climbing into the cockpit and firing up the engine
"This is Captain Thompson, requesting permission for take-off" Ashley spoke into the headset as the rumble of her jet echoed
