One Month Later...
"Okay, so today, myself and Captain Thompson have decided to cancel training today" Maverick said, standing in front of the group of pilots with Ashley
"Instead, we are heading down to the beach" Ashley said as a rupture of cheers echoed between the group.
The group, Maverick and Ashley headed down to the beach and relaxed under the sun, taking time out of their busy schedules.
Ashley had changed out of her uniform and into a pair of denim shorts and a tank top, sporting a pair of sunglasses, while Maverick opted for a black short sleeved tee and a pair of black jeans which he rolled the ends up.
"Hey, Ash!" Rooster's voice shouted, snapping Ashley out of her rest
"Yeah?"
"We're gonna have a game of dogfight football, you up for it?" Bradley asked
"Oh, I don't know" Ashley shook her head
Maverick chuckled, "I think Captain is scared to be beaten" He said, standing up from his seat
"I'll have you know, I beat your ass in football" Ashley taunted
She stood up and grabbed the football from Maverick and they split into two teams, Ashley on one team and Maverick on the other.
Bernie blew the whistle and the game began. Ashley caught the ball and made her way through the crowds before throwing the ball at Hangman who was one of her teammates. Hangman threw the ball at Phoenix while Mav threw to Rooster
"Touchdown!" Bernie shouted as Maverick's team managed to get the ball to the line.
They started a new round and repeated this when Ashley's team won the next round. They kept playing as Maverick went to sit out and take a seat back on the deckchair when Cyclone approached him, "Sir" Maverick greeted him.
He was still dressed in his uniform but sported a pair of sunglasses with his uniform
"What is this?" Cyclone asked
"This is dogfight football. Offense and defense at the same time" Maverick responded
"Who's winning?"
"I think they stopped keeping score a while ago" Maverick said
Ashley stopped when she saw Cyclone standing next to Maverick, she made her way over to the pair
