Chapter 3

Pete's Pov

I groan as I try to move around, I slowly start to panic after remembering what happened. I tried to move my hands but couldn't because they were strapped to the bed. My whole body was aching, and my head was pounding. I suddenly heard a door open, and I turned my head to the source of the sound. Standing in the doorway was a tall figure, the figure started getting closer and closer to me causing me to shake with fear.

Who are you? I yell hoping to get a response. the figure just laughed causing me to get shivers all throughout my body. The figure then took off their mask and looked me in the eyes. I missed you he said with a dark tone. What do you want from me? I ask fear evident in my voice. The man then comes eye level with me and looks me dead in the eyes. I want you; he says looking me up and down. I don't even know who you are I say. Not yet you don't but I can ensure that will soon because you belong to me, he says.

Vegas' Pov

I walk in the room to see that he is panicking, I slowly go towards him before taking off my mask. He doesn't seem to remember me which isn't so surprising. You belong to me and only me I say as I see him struggle more. I want him to know that he is not getting away from me and that he is mine and no one else. I'm Vegas. I say letting him know who I truly am. His expression slowly changes into a more worried and feared look.

What? Didn't expect to see me again did you. I say as he tries to go farther away from me. What do you want from me. He yells as he pulls on his restraints. I have already answered that dear, I say going closer to me. GET AWAY FROM ME, he screams. Just as we were close enough to feel each other's breath there was a knock on the door. 

Sir Vegas sorry to interrupt but you have a guest, arm says from outside the door. I sigh as I close my eyes and move away from the boy. Just as I was about to turn around and walk away, he screams for help. I quickly went over to him to and covered his mouth, trying to shush him. Now listen here you better stay quiet or what happened to your friend will surely happen to you too, said with a threatening tone. He instantly stops his actions and lays quietly on the bed. I'll be back, don't try anything dumb while I'm gone. I say sternly before walking out, shutting the door behind me.

Pete's Pov

Never did I think that I would see my best friend's killer again. I can't stay here because I'm not safe and I have to try and find a way to get out. I don't want to die, I can't die. If I die, then there will be no one to take care of mom and Chay. I pull the restraints on my hands to try and slip free. But it was no use, and they weren't budging, I try to think of another way to break free when suddenly it hits me. 

I slowly sit up and bring my mouth over to the restraints. I bite on the leather belts trying to loosen them enough to slip my hand out. Finally, after biting the belt I was able to slip my hand out, I quickly went and undid the belt on my other hand and feet. I jumped out of the bed and started looking around for an exit. 

There was no other way to leave this room other than the door. I hesitantly put my hand on the doorknob and twist it open. Thankfully it was unlocked, I then stuck my head out a little to see if there was anyone guarding the door. To my luck there wasn't, I took this as chance to go and find a way out. 

I could hear Vegas' voice, so I was cautious enough to not go towards it. All of the windows on the second floor were locked with bars on them, making it impossible for me to escape. I slowly walked down the stairs making sure not to get caught, thankfully Vegas was still nowhere to be seen. I then seen a door that wasn't locked and took this opportunity to go, I slid open the door and quickly made my way out. 

Because it was night it was super dark making it hard for me to see. There were no outside lights either, so I had no choice but to hope for the best and just run. It looked to be like I was in the back of the house, I then seen a single light and went towards it. My heart dropped when I saw that I was completely surrounded by water. Just as I thought that things couldn't get worse, I heard a voice behind me.

Where do you think you're going dear?

 I slowly turned around to see Vegas standing there with a hand behind his back. He slowly started walking closer causing me to back up until I couldn't anymore. Oh, darling you didn't think you would get away, did you?

Nobody's Pov

Vegas lunged towards Pete and injected a shot into his neck. It's ok just take some rest for now dear. He says as he catches Petes body in his arms. Vegas then picks Pete up and carries him inside, laying him back down in bed. Oh, what am I going to do with you Pete.
