Chapter 29

Chay's POV 

I woke up to Porsche yelling at Kinn. But what's new, these days they are always fighting. I got up from the couch and headed into the kitchen. As I was walking in, I seen Pete, I walked over to him and hugged him. How is he? I asked with a sad tone. Pete turned around to look at me before sighing, he's going to be alright, but he has to stay in the hospital for a while, he said. I looked down as I nodded my head. 

Do you want to go and see him today? Pete asked. I looked at Pete and thought for a second. After a few seconds more I finally nodded my head. I was afraid to see him, but I couldn't let my fear take over me. I ran upstairs and grabbed my clothes before going into the bathroom to shower. I turned the water on and then got in, letting the warm water wash away all of my thoughts. I quickly finished up and got out of the shower and got dressed, I brushed my teeth and left. As I was walking down the stairs, I seen Pete already waiting for me at the door. Come on Chay, he said as he started walking out of the door. 

Time skip~

Nobody's POV 

The car ride to the hospital was silent, not a word from either of them. Pete was hesitant to say anything, afraid of making Chay more upset than he already was. Chay was looking out the window the entire time with his hands nervously running up and down his legs. Pete saw this and placed one of his hands on his leg, in hopes of calming him down. Chay looked up and was taken out of his thoughts by this action. Chay gave Pete a small but soft smile before looking out the window once again. 

Pete sighed but just let Chay be not wanting to make him more anxious than he was, they finally reached the hospital after driving for a little while longer. Pete got out of the car first and walked over to the other side where Chay was. Chay was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realize that they had arrived at the hospital. Pete opened up Chay's door and helped him get out of the car, Chay was still evidently nervous, but he knew that he needed to see him.

They both walked inside of the hospital and got directions from the receptionist, before heading to Kim's room. Chay reached for the door but was still hesitant to enter. Pete patted Chay on the back and reassured him that everything was going to be okay. Chay finally opened the door and walked over to Kim, tears instantly brimmed his eyes. He walked closer to Kim and placed a hand on his face. Chay immediately broke down crying, still holding Kim's face.

Chay's POV

I couldn't help but cry, just seeing him like this broke my heart into a thousand pieces. I knelt down next to him and held his hand, his body was warm, but it felt so cold to me. I heard Pete come inside of the room and sit down.  I just stayed by Kim not wanting to leave him. Do you want to stay with him for the night? Pete asked. I looked up at Pete and nodded. Can I really stay with him? I asked. Pete came over to me and patted my head, of course you can he would like that, he said before gathering his stuff. I'll have someone bring you some clothes, he said before walking away.

Nobody's POV

Chay was sitting on the chair that was next to Kim's bed. Thanks to Porsche he had a few things that he could do while he was staying with Kim. Chay was currently reading one of their favorite books called The summer I fell in love. They would read this book over and over when they had the time. Just thinking about it made Chay tear up, this didn't last for long though because the nurse had walked in to check up on Kim. Chay quickly wiped his tears and greeted the nurse, the nurse gave a soft smile as she proceeded to check on Kim. After she was finished, she left the room and continued on with what she was doing. 

Chay looked at Kim and smiled admiring his beauty, he reached his hand up to Kim's face and caressed it. His smile only kept growing because of how happy he was that he had someone as precious as him. Just as Chay was going to pull his hand away, he felt another hand grab his. he looked over to see Kim was holding onto him, Chay gasped and immediately called a nurse.

I knew you would be okay, I knew it.
