A month later we were really into a routine. Gunner helped me with a few panic attacks and even ran in my room and held me for a minute when I was screaming in my sleep. I felt so at peace when he did that I made him stay a bit longer. He brushed the hair out of my hair and kissed my forehead and I fell asleep and when I finally fell asleep he left me. I was coming to realize just how much I really needed him. I really thought that I was going to be okay completely alone and yet I really think that Gunner helped a lot. Gunner even had a nightmare himself from bad memories and that ended with us talking in front of the fire for hours. Mr. Sir was not happy about us missing chores. When Gunner told Rena what happened she relayed the information. Then he apologized in his own way to Gunner then myself. That night we both went to bed early and woke up early to make sure Sir knew we were not being lazy.

I really liked being a part of the family. I really was missing Fern though. I called her twice and She called me. She was trying to get Tyler to buy tickets to see us. We finally got to plan the welcome home party and I helped with the planning the best I could. Gunner knew what was happening and just didn't realize how big it was going to be. They hired a band and a BBQ guy that was known for making the best ribs. I was very much out of my element. I just tried to do as I was asked.

It's now the day off and Rena and I go into town for the last minute items. I was finally ready to go to town and leave the ranch for once. I was nervous to leave but it wasn't unwanted. It used to be nervous Blkae could show up, then it became nervous to meet everyone finally. Will they accept me?

Rena goes to the grocery store and gets a few side dish items we needed. Then she goes to the liquor store and gets a box of whiskey. I laugh when she rolls her eyes at me like she was as confused as we as to why people like whiskey. Then she runs into a small boutique. The lady greets us at the door and Rena smiles at her as they walk to the cash register.

" Will we be seeing you later?" Rena asks

"Yes ma'am you will." she says " I will be just a minute i'll grab them they are in the back"

" Flo, now I don't know your style and I know you don't own a dress. So please pick one you like and we will be getting that too." Rena says so matter of fact like she was saying don't try to challenge me.

" I can't do that Rena. You guys have already done so much for me." I say

" Okay pick two then." She laughs pointing to the wall full of dresses. I walk over and see a few colors I like but I really am not sure what my style is any more. I look at Rena confused and she looks at the lady cashing her out and points to me. I see the smile on her face and she almost runs to me.

" Your skin color and curls would look good in a blue or a cream." She shows me a dark blue dress. She shifts though and hands it to me. Then she hands me a cream one with little flowers on it. She also hands me a blue with small white flowers. I try them and Rena picks the light blue one. It had a deep neckline and frilly sleeves and would flow in the wind. The hem landed just at my shins and it was beautiful.

When we were done she asked if I would like help getting ready. I told her I thought I was fine. After chores and helping in the kitchen I got ready. I took a shower. Shaved every bit of me again. Then got my curls to look good then I put on blush mascara and eyeliner. When I felt confident enough I walked out and put my boots on. When I walked into the big house Hazel's jaw dropped.

" What? Did I do something wrong?" I ask " Is it too tight? Does my make up look dumb?"

" No Flo" She turns and taps Rena on the shoulder. She turns around and a smile graces her face.

" Now good luck to the guys tonight." She says

" What does that mean?" I am so confused. "I have not worn a dress in years and I feel naked."
