-SOMCHAI-
I am getting married.
In an hour, I'll be a husband.
"I knew you were gonna be the first to marry," Hamzah congratulated giving me a bro hug, "inshallah to all the blessings coming brother with your future family."
All the guys are in my room helping me prepare and calm down.
"Marcello can you go deliver her bubble tea," I asked, "I think she'll be fasting for the dress but I want her to at least drink something."
"Somchai relax man," Daniel stopped me getting me to sit down, "she's going to freak if you're this nervous. You have to relax and be her rock up there."
He's right. Nayla always says that she loves how I stay calm when she can't.
"Son," my dad called entering the room, "are you ready? I've been in her room, she's a ball of nerves but she looks gorgeous."
"Is she ok-"
"Hey, hey she's fine," my dad calmed me down leading me away from the door, "her family and glam team are doing well calming her down, don't worry."
And just like that, I am anxious and nervous again.
But... she needs me.
She gets overwhelmed if I don't calm her down and hold her. I want to be with my wife right now.
"Wow grandson," khun pu cheered entering the room with my halabeoji, "that is one pretty wife. Of course Fernando doesn't want to give her away, I wouldn't trust any man with a granddaughter that pretty either."
"I know I'm lucky grandad, she is everything to me."
"You make sure you take care of that girl forever then Somchai," halabeoji smiled adjusting my tie, "she is very special."
...
Standing at the altar is so nerve wracking.
My friends and family smiled from their seats but I was just too nervous.
I just want to see her... I miss her.
We agreed to not see each other the week before the wedding and I hate that she can convince me to do something that stupid.
I miss waking up to her smile. Her hair smells so good in the morning too and her bonnet has a bow. It is so cute. And those pyjama shorts that barely cover her ass... no wonder she complains the bed is cold without me.
I bet she thinks I won't notice she stole my Essentials hoodie but, she has stolen a lot of them. I drew the line at her trying to steal the Travis Scott hoodie... they're collectibles at this point.
And then I saw her... she came around the corner with her grandad.
I think I forgot how to breathe.

-NAYLA-
"Somchai asked me to bring you bubble tea, he thought you'd be nervous and he-."
"Marcello get that shit away from her," Samirah cut him off, snatching the cup away and putting it in the toilet countertop. "That cannot be anywhere near her right now, she's getting her glam done and this cannot even be in the same room as her dress because we cannot, cannot, can not have an accident."
Samirah has been more stressed out than I am acting like Martha's assistant and trying to make sure everything goes right. Literally the best hazard spotter. One of Chai's friend has been hitting on her the whole morning and she could not give a shit.
She said she could smell the thirst on his pores and that he should be ashamed of having to spit game at a friends wedding.
"I can't gain an inch as well doll, I need to fit into that dress or I'll freak out," I agreed giving Marcello an apologetic dress.
I am so nervous I can't even eat of drink.
Why would he let me convince him not to see or communicate with each other for a week?
I miss my man so much. I literally stole his Essentials hoodie to sleep in every night and I hope he doesn't notice. I stole the Travis Scott one too but he hasn't noticed.
There's no private property in marriage.
I can't believe I took for granted that I was waking up next to him every morning, they'll have to force me away from him now.
"Nha kode," my grandad approached giving me a kiss on the cheek, "my granddaughter is so pretty. I just told Atid and Baekhyun, that I'm struggling to give her to their grandson."
"Grandad! You said you wouldn't do that!"
"You're my pride and joy, their grandson better know that."
...
"Nayla it's time, come on princess."
"Grandad, what if I fall?"
The wedding ceremony is quite private for a Kim-Anurak event. Only a select few were invited to the very private location and our closest friends and family. The wedding reception later is where a wider variety of guests will attend and for those that were never going to be invited to the ceremony, the reception was a must. There were people begging Martha for weeks to be on the guest list. A lot of high up people will be there.
But, I'm still scared. I don't want to fall and embarrass myself. But at the same time, I couldn't care less about any of these people. I would crawl if I had to because... Chai is at the end of the altar.
My lover, my best friend, my partner for life.
"When have I ever let you fall? Your husband is waiting princess."
So I trusted my grandad and walked. When I caught sight of my Chai, I could've cried.
He looks so handsome, so perfect. And he smiled so wide when he saw me. It was like time stopped. I was so afraid of tripping but now, I quickened my pace slightly so I could be near him quicker.
I knew he'd be wearing his Channel perfume because that's my favourite scent on him.
"You gotta take care of her, she's my grandbaby. I better not hear anything I don't like. She's my princess you heard me?"
"Yes sir, I just want to make her the happiest girl," he smiled instantly looking at me. He gently took my hand in my granddad's place and helped me come up the steps to stand at the altar.
It really felt like it was our world.
"Hi baby," he smiled moving my veil so my face was visible. "Fuck... you are the prettiest girl in the Universe. It's so hard not to kiss you right now."
It's the way he looks at me... like I'm all he needs. And he's all I need too.
"You look handsome too," I giggled, holding his hands tighter. "The most handsome in the galaxy."
Ima eat it, ahhhhh!
"Are you guys ready," the marriage officiant asked with a smile.
"I do by the way," Somchai answered making everyone laugh.
"We not there yet brother," I heard Fabiano start before Samirah thumped his head.
