"Chai I am only four months pregnant."

"But I think it's really important to think about the birthing experience. Khun pu has hospitals that have birthing units like the Korean women's clinic ones so they look like hotels. We already agreed on having the nicest one be yours so-"

"Chai I'm not giving birth anytime soon. Still like five months to go, I am barely showing."

"But you don't know whether it's going to be a premature birth or anything, we need to be prepared. And the fact that the house might not be done in time for the baby's birth really pisses me off."

"But you know we're being very specific with the house and now with the addition of a bubba, there's more stuff we want like you can't rush it- Chai rub my feet harder."

Chai has gone full on diligent daddy mode.

When we had our first appointment, we found out I was just a bit over two months pregnant. Our bubba was literally the size of a raspberry.

I asked Chai to hold the news until I was three months pregnant. Samirah knew but I just wanted to be over the third trimester before people started to know.

After everyone found out, it was like all of the family gathered around me. I had a Korea trip to see grandma Kim and she wouldn't stop dotting me. She made sure that I was pampered and relaxed the whole time and even flew me privately to Jeju because I wanted to feel the sea breeze.

Bitch trynna get flewed out for the weekend.

Surprisingly, when Chai goes on trips for a week or more, Mrs Kim makes sure to drop by at least once and to call to ask if I'm okay. My mother has really turned on her grandma mode and is super excited for the new arrival.

Things have changed for Chai too like he's really careful. He won't take overseas trips unless absolutely necessary. He also works from home a lot more and fulfils my every whim. He's also trying to rush the construction people to have our house built before the arrival of the baby but, I don't know...

But then again, is anything out of the question for a Kim?

Watch this.

"I'd be more comfortable if you'd give birth in one of the Anurak Beyond hospitals - the facilities literally look like a five star hotel."

The Beyond branch of hospitals is for those with the coins. I've had all my consultations in one of those and, it doesn't even have the hospital smell. The maternity unit smells of milk and honey and you can tell only those with money can go in.

If I wasn't married to Chai, I would probably never see a hospital like that... it is beyond private. It is literally a high society hospital for those who are beyond opulence.

Opulence, you own everything.

I get so many ultrasound pictures during each appointment and the hospital gives a video and album of your baby's journey when you leave after giving birth. They also have their own brand of prenatal vitamins and a twenty-four hour support line.

I literally have a mental and wellbeing nurse with whom I talk to twice a month. She makes sure I have someone who can make me feel more mentally secure when it comes to motherhood.

Real hot girl shit.

"Stop worrying," I calmed him with a kiss, "we're okay baby. We have what we can under control."

"Sorry... I just want to be a good dad. I think I just... end up wanting to make everything perfect."

"We probably won't be the perfect parents but... we'll be making sure that we're parents our child can be proud of."

He hugged me tighter as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"This child is our little treasure. I don't think I can ever repay you for giving birth to my child but... I have to give you the world like you give it to me all the time."

In that moment is like my chest swelled up and my emotions ran wild... I love him. I love him more than anything in this world.

I don't know else I would carry a child for if not this man.

"I love you Chai."

"I love you more Nayla."
