hello everyone !!!
before I start this off, I just want to say that i'm posting this update in december of 2022. now that that's out of the way, I'll get right into it and say one thing... this book was written by a 13 year old teenager stuck in a pandemic with zero writing skills and zero knowledge of how the world works.
i was barely a teen when I wrote this, but when I did, I thought it was amazing and wonderful and the best piece of damn writing I would ever put together in my life.
but obviously, being 16 and looking back on it now, I cannot even bring myself to read this book without cringing and feeling the need to off myself.
it's horrible. there's no nicer way to put it.
BUT!!
i put my heart and soul into this fanfic and published it mid-2020, when my life was going to shit. working on this book kept me sane and helped me through all the shit I was dealing with at the time, what with the pandemic and quarantine and just other stuff in general.
it's the first fanfic I ever completed, and I'm pretty damn proud of it regardless of the fact that it probably sucks.
the reason i'm updating this now is because for some reason, people are reading this. and while it does make me wonder why, I feel so genuinely grateful that someone out there is enjoying my writing. 13 year old me would've never imagined this when she published september for shits and giggles.
so if you do decide to read this, which for some reason I hope you do, I urge you to remember this is written by a kid whose first language is not english, and who used to thrive off of movie cliches. the plot is pretty decent, and the writing does get okay-ish around 20 or so chapters in, but I still feel the need to tell you to keep an open mind.
i'm a changed person now, though. I don't write like this anymore — i'm not the same kid I was in 2020 when I wrote september. I have a million other fanfics i'm working on but i've been too nervous to publish them because I feel like people only know my account because of september, and my writing style has changed so drastically that you'd barely be able to tell the same person wrote it.
but if I do decide to post another ff, I hope you guys will continue to support me.
and I hope you do end up reading september, because I still love this book with my whole heart, as if it was my first born child.
