Your P.O.V

What the fuck?!

I have just woken up. Everything is blurry, and all I can see is the sunlight shining through my bedroom window.

Like most people my age, my first instinct is to check my phone. A strange feeling of worry overcame me, and it wasn't long before I grabbed the device and turned it on.

I gasp out loud when seeing the date.

October 1st.

"What the fuck?!"

Apparently, I have slept through the entire month of September... as if that's even possible.

Confusion looms over my face as I think about why my roommate hadn't woken me up. I get out of my bed, tuck my phone into my shirt pocket and walk out of my room, in search for the blonde girl who had been rooming with me for the past four years.

I enter the living room and look around, wondering where she was.

I see my no signs of her, and all of a sudden I get this weary feeling inside of me.

My body cools as a certain feeling chills me.

Loneliness.

All of a sudden, I'm at the front door. I pull it open in an instant and walk out, not bothering with the fact that I wasn't wearing slippers nor pants.

I was simply in the oversized t-shirt I slept with.

I look around, and don't see anyone walking anywhere. The neighbourhood is awfully quiet, devoid of any and all sounds. All I can feel is the afternoon air blowing against my face.

It's 3 pm, the busiest time of the day. There's usually all sorts of people walking their dogs and heading out to run errands.

Even that stupid neighbour of mine hasn't come out yet.

What is going on? Where is everyone?

My body jerks forwards as I hear a scream.

A scream coming from the house next to mine, a.k.a. the house of the person that I hate the most.

Obviously, even though I hate him, I have to help him. I have to help him because he might be the only one alive other than me.

I run to his house, surprisingly finding the door unlocked.

I run inside, passing the living room and running into his bedroom.

I've visited his house once before, so I do know where everything is. This helped me as I immediately knew where to run to.

I ran inside his room, to see him shirtless and standing on the bed, pointing a lamp at something on the floor, his expression horror-stricken.

"Jeon Jungkook!! Why the fuck are you screaming so early in the morning??" I was quick to ask, noticing his terrified face and his eyebrows that had risen so far up, I wondered if they would join his hairline.

Jungkook's head snaps, staring right at me. "How'd you get into my house?!"

I chuckle seeing him so scared, and then my eyes land on the animal that Jungkook was pointing the lamp towards.

My eyes widen as I see a dog.

My dog.

"Bruno?!" I leap towards the dog, grabbing him in my arms and cuddling him fondly. His warmth leaves me grinning in glee.

Jungkook seems confused as he stares over at me. "That's your dog?! How come I've never seen it before?! And why is it in my house?!"

I freeze as I remember a critical detail about Bruno's life.

He died eight years ago.

I let the dog go, screaming. Jumping onto the bed with Jungkook, I grab the lamp, pointing it at the dog that was supposed to be dead.

Jungkook looks at me confused. "What's wrong?!!"

I look over at him, my face pale. "Bruno died eight years ago."

Jungkook screams, shoving me in front so he could hide behind me. "You're lying! How the fuck-"

"Well, I didn't think you humans would be scared of a measly dog."

Jungkook and I freeze.

We slowly turn our faces to where the voice came from.

The dog.

The dog is talking.

Jungkook and I scream at the same time, clutching onto each other for our dear lives.

"Can you please stop yelling?! God, it feels like Doggy DayCare all over again."

I decide to be the bigger person, and I get down from the bed slowly, crouching in front of Bruno.

"How are you alive? How are you talking?" I stare at him, intrigue written all over my face.

Jungkook seems to get down and crouch next to me, staring at him too.

Bruno is sitting, staring at me with a dumb-founded expression on his face.

"Well, I don't really know the answers to that either. I just woke up here, because that weirdo was screaming his arse off."

Jungkook's face hardens. "Why's your dog such a bitch?"

"Excuse me. I know a few bitches, and I definitely am not one." Bruno responded, in a rather sassy tone.

I try to stifle my laughter, and instead turn to look at Jungkook, my body now fully sitting on the ground.

"Jeon, did you go outside?"

He shakes his head, now sitting down as well. "No, why?"

I stare at him. "Everyone is gone."

Jungkook raises an eyebrow, turning to look at Bruno. "Really?"

I nod, turning to look at Bruno as well.

Jungkook furrows his eyebrows. "Well, I do find it a bit weird that Jin Hyung didn't come wake me up. He usually doesn't leave the house until 4."

Jungkook freezes, yet again. "JIN HYUNG IS GONE?!"

I nod, clutching my ears. "Yes, Jungkook, Jin is gone."

Jungkook's face reads panic as he holds his head with his hands. "I'm helpless without him, he's so special to me, he makes me dinner, he does everything for me; Y/N, what the fuck am I gonna do oh my go-"

I shush him, looking over at Bruno. "This has something to do with you, Bruno, it's so obvious."

Bruno tilts his head slightly, looking into my eyes. "Why do you say?"

Jungkook is the one to speak this time.

"It's no coincidence that you appeared, right at the time everyone has seemingly gone away. I think it may have something to do with you being dead and just appearing now; especially since you're talking, like what the fuck, why are you talking-"

I stop Jungkook from spiralling again, looking into his eyes. "Look, why don't we start from the beginning; did you only wake up today? Did you sleep through September like I did?"

Jungkook tilts his head, similar to the way Bruno did, and looks down. "Come to think of it, yeah. I did sleep through the entire month of september. Why though?"

"Yeah, out of all people why am I stuck with you?" I say.

Jungkook snaps his head up. "Hey!"

I chuckle slowly. "Don't you think it's a bit weird?"

"A bit?! It's so fucking weird!"

Bruno clears his throat, and our heads turn to look at his. "Well, team, I guess we have one question that we must team up to answer; What happened in September?"
