Jungkook helps me stand up, holding my hand as we walk to the car. "I'm driving again. You're in no state to be behind the wheel."
I dry my face, shaking my head. "That's unfair. You said I would take over so it's my turn. We agreed to take shifts, Jungkook."
His jaw clenches as he looks me in the eyes. "I'm driving and that's final. You can drive when you're emotionally and mentally okay. Now get in the car."
I sigh, lip slightly shaking. My nails were boring into my palms from how angry I was at his stubbornness. I'm okay, what's his problem.
"Personally, I agree with Jungkook. You're in no state to be driving, Y/N." Bruno says, slowly cuddling into my legs.
I look down at him, and then back up at Jungkook, who's staring at me with his arms crossed. I sigh. "Fine."
Jungkook smiles. "Good."
We get in the car and drive off.
"What do you think he was?" I sigh out, arms involuntarily folding on my chest.
"Definitely not a human." Jungkook states, grip on the wheel tightening. I feel all the memories of his eyes and his arms come back to me, and I can't help but feel scared. I look down at my lap, and start playing with my fingers. I bite my lip.
Jungkook notices my expression and immediately removes his right hand from the wheel. He reaches out to my hand and takes it in his. His face becomes a light pink colour. "It's okay. He's gone now, you don't have to be scared."
I grip his hand tighter, then sit straight up.
Jungkook bites the inside of his cheek, left eyebrow twitching. He couldn't help but wonder about that man. "What happened anyways? How did you find him?"
I rub the side of my face before speaking, "Bruno found him laying on the floor in the store. He wasn't breathing or anything. I yelled for him to wake up, but when he opened his eyes, they were fully black. It was terrifying. And he screamed really loudly; he had rows of sharp teeth. I ran before he could do anything."
He grips my hand tighter. "Thank god you had Bruno.."
I nod, "Yeah.. he made a good weapon honestly."
Jungkook's head bops up. "This is what the voice meant! The weapon, Bruno! It was right after all!"
I nod, "Oh, yeah it was."
Jungkook licks his lips, his expression getting darker, "But that means it's right about the other things too," I turn to face him, urging him to continue with my eyes, "That means our lives and the lives of all the people who disappeared are resting on our shoulders."
I sigh, looking at Jungkook with a soft expression on my face. "What happens if we don't get the key, Jungkook?"
Jungkook looks at me. "I don't think we wanna know."
I bite my lip, leaning back in my seat. I lift my right arm up, checking the time. 4 pm? Its been so long.
"Alright, Jungkook, pull over. It's time for my shift." I day, undoing my seatbelt.
Jungkook holds my hand tighter. "Shut the fuck up. We're staying like this till it gets dark, you can drive then."
I roll my eyes, clearly annoyed, "Do you know how guilty you're making me feel right now? You've been driving for hours on end, it's not healthy. We're sticking to what we agreed to. Pull over."
