"Shit!"
I look over to Jungkook, my eyebrows furrowing as I speak, "What?!"
Jungkook looks into a bag on the ground, a frown on his face, "We're running out of water."
I shrug, "It's fine, we won't be here for that long anyways."
It was currently nighttime, and Bruno and Kai had fallen asleep while I was left pondering about all the events that had taken place since we set out on this adventure. I was staring up at the night sky, my eyes focused on the stars, glittering and shining. Jungkook walks up to me and takes a seat besides me, looking right at my face, "What're you thinking about?"
I sigh, "Everything."
Jungkook nods, examining me, "Aren't you like super uncomfortable in that dress?"
I scoff, "Obviously I am."
Jungkook smiles small, looking up at the sky as well, "It's okay, we'll be out of here soon."
I lick my lips, "Do you guys even have a plan? I mean, what if Kai just refuses to talk to us? Plus, I bet all his guards are searching for him; if we stayed out here for much longer it'd be suicide."
Jungkook purses his lips, a small smirk lacing his features, "Look, you don't have to worry about anything. Kai will talk, and even if he doesn't, I already know what's going on."
I whip my head around to face him, "What?! If you know, then why are we wasting our time with him?"
Jungkook doesn't look at me, "To confirm my theory."
"Can you share this theory with me?" I ask, dumbfounded at the fact that he didn't tell me about this before.
Jungkook looks over, "In due time."
I roll my eyes, "I hate you." Jungkook shakes his head, "We both know you don't."
I smile, and after some silence, Jungkook speaks again, "Did you think we left you?"
I nod, exhaling, "Yeah, I actually did."
"Wow," Jungkook says, clenching his jaw, "Can't believe you had that little faith in us."
I shake my head, "It's not about faith. The reason I was getting married to that prick was so you guys could leave safely. I liked to think that my sacrifice wouldn't have been in vain."
Jungkook nods, eyeing the tent, "You're probably tired, you should get some sleep."
I inhale, standing up. I pull Jungkook up by his arm, "Yeah, you should too."
He refuses, "Someone's gotta be awake in case something happens."
I scoff, "Nothing's gonna happen. Now come on, let's get some sleep."
-
I open my eyes fast when I feel weight pressing down on my side. My body felt heavy and I immediately went into a state of panic, thinking we had been caught again.
Just as I began to push myself up, I feel that I was not in fact tied up. I was just crushed by Jungkook's body, because he was cuddling me tightly as he slept.
My heart pounds in my chest as I slowly turn around so I could face him. His left arm was under me while his right held onto my waist tightly. He had his left leg around my lower body, hugging me tightly towards him. His eyes were shut and he looked peaceful as ever. His mouth gaped open slightly proved how deep in sleep he actually was. Strands of his hair were falling onto his face, and so I slowly moved my arm forwards, pushing the locks out of his eyes.
My eyes soften when I see him stir in his sleep, and his arms tighten around me. Why does he look so adorable oh my god-
I had been staring at his face for so long, mesmerised by his features that I hadn't noticed Bruno come in. He was sat by the edge of the tent, staring, a proud glint in his eyes.
Jungkook groans in his sleep, moving slightly. His breathing fastens and beads of sweat start to form on the side of his face. He's having a nightmare..
I lift my right hand up, and start running it through his hair to calm him down. "It's okay, I'm here. You're fine." I murmur, left hand gently touching his face.
I continue running my hand through his hair, a smile forming on my face I see him start to calm down. He pulls me closer towards him, burying his face in my neck.
I freeze, heart pounding even faster. What's he doing, what's he doing, what's he doing-
My right hand falls from his hair to his neck, my eyebrows furrowing at his actions. He buries his face deeper in my neck, lips touching my skin. I feel my face start to burn, but I don't push him back in fear of his sleep being disturbed; he mentioned having insomnia, so I didn't want to ruin the sleep he was able to get.
All of a sudden, I feel the lips that were pressed against my skin stretch to form a smile. "I'm surprised you haven't pushed me away yet," I hear Jungkook say into my neck.
I scoff, "You were sleeping so comfortably, I didn't wanna wake you."
Jungkook doesn't move, staying in the same position, "I've been awake for a while, enough to see you staring at me. I mean, I know I'm handsome but you don't have to stare so much!"
I smack his shoulder, a smile spreading across my face, "As if. So can you get off now? I'm pretty sure I can't feel my legs anymore."
Jungkook shakes his head, "No thanks, I'm just gonna stay here for a little longer. You're super comfortable, you know that right?"
I nod, "Obviously I am, but you're crushing me."
Jungkook scoffs, "I haven't been this relaxed in years, Y/N."
My eyes soften, "Fine, fine."
Jungkook hugs me tighter, a groan leaving his mouth. I raise an eyebrow, "What?"
He sighs, "If only somebody could run their hands through my hair right now, then everything would be perfect."
I roll my eyes, "You're such a kid, Jeon." I lift my right arm up, running my fingers through his hair.
He smiles, "You're the best."
A grin spreads across my face, "I really am."
We hear someone clear their throat, our heads immediately popping up. Bruno looks at the both of us, "Are you guys done?"
Jungkook shakes his head, putting his face back in my neck, "Leave us alone, Bruno."
Bruno sighs, "Okay then, I guess you don't wanna know that Kai escaped."
Jungkook and I jump up, screaming, "HE WHAT?!"
