Once you had gotten off Kai and explained the situation to everyone, they were quite amused, wanting to hear more stories about the two of you as kids. Kai had managed to entertain them, but you felt a question tugging at your mind each time you would look at him. Well, two questions to be exact.

As you figure out a way to ask him your eyes scan all over the room to look for a particular dark brown haired boy, but when you don't find him there, your eyebrows crease in confusion. You slowly mumble, "Uh, I'll be right back."

As Kai was about to stop you, Namjoon placed a hand on his shoulder as a sign for him not to. Kai gives Namjoon a look of confusion to which Namjoon simply replies with, "Let her go to him."

Kai feels his heart twinge but says nothing nonetheless.

You step out into the hallway, slippers on your feet as you tried to think about where Jungkook could have gone. Your mind immediately goes to his room, and so your feet obey, taking steps towards the door farther from your own room.

You reach the door, eyes scanning all over it as you had a mental debate with yourself. Should you knock or just go in, you wondered, eyebrows creasing as you thought of an answer. Deciding to do the worse of the two options you think 'fuck it' before grabbing the handle and pushing the unlocked door open.

You shut the door behind you, seeing a dark and empty room. Well, it was pretty late at night but he could have at least had some lights on. Slight fear overcoming you when seeing the darkness you call out, "Jungkook? You here?"

A mumbling is heard before a loud thud rings through your ears. You flinch, feeling scared yet again now because of the eerie silence.

You gulp, hands reaching out to feel every surface you could to figure out where the light switch was. The room was completely and utterly covered in a blanket of black, nothing but darkness everywhere. You feel a shuffling, as if something was moving but decide to ignore it so that you wouldn't feel even more terrified than you already were.

You stretch your hands out and they touch a wall. Spreading your palms flat on the surface, you feel all around till your fingers hit a light switch. You smile in victory. That smile did not last long though, because as soon as you touched the switch, preparing to turn it on, you feel another hand rest on top of yours.

You freeze, heart beating fast.

And then you scream.

You fling your arms out, hitting whatever had touched you. Your mind travelled to one thing; demon. And so you continue hitting the poor thing, screaming every time you did so.

"Y/N, stop!" You hear a voice say, yet due to your screaming you couldn't recognise it. Finally, the light turns on.

You see the light come on and immediately move your head to look at what you had been hitting with so much force. Your eyes widen when you see Jungkook, shielding himself from your attacks with his right hand while his left was resting on top of the light switch after he had turned it on.

You gasp, mumbling, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I really thought you had gotten abducted by demons again."

Jungkook rolls his eyes, yet a smile was on his face. He was surprised you had actually come to find him, as he assumed that you would spend more time with Kai. But he was happy that you had come to him, his cheeks turning slightly red to signal what he was feeling. You ask him, "Why'd you just disappear like that?"

And then Jungkook felt his heart hurt again, expression immediately falling when recalling everything that had happened. He stands up straight before moving to sit on his bed, a blank expression on his face as he mumbles, "No reason."

You see him lie down on the bed, his back facing you and instantly feel something was off. You raise an eyebrow, suspicion on your face as you try to figure out what was going on.

Jungkook waited for you to say something, furrowing his eyebrows when you were quiet. A part of him wanted you to stay, to ask him what was going on and why he was acting like this. He didn't want you to go back to Kai, even after the cold and vague answer he had given you.

You slyly ask, "Uh, Kook, is everything okay?"

His mouth remained open as he tried to find words to say. He desperately wanted to tell you how he was feeling, yet he couldn't bring himself to. He closes his mouth, remembering the happiness in your eyes when you found out Kai was who you wished he was. "Yeah, everything's fine." Jungkook replies, voice flat and monotonous.

You take a seat on his bad, watching his back tense closely. You knew he was lying when he said that, but you couldn't figure out why.

Jungkook feels the bed dip, signalling that you had sat on it. His mind relaxes yet his body tenses because he knew you would pry further now.

You bring your hand up, resting it on Jungkook's arm. Feeling the warmth radiate from your hand, Jungkook relaxes.

"If you don't wanna tell me, it's fine..." You start, gently rubbing his arm in reassurance before continuing, "...but if it's something bothering you that has to do with me, I'd rather you tell me."

Within a second, Jungkook sits up, pulling you into a hug as he nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. You smile softly, bringing your arms around him in a comforting embrace before mumbling, "What's bothering you, Kook?"

He releases a shaky breath, eyes shutting close tightly. He didn't want to let go of you. He realises he should just be honest with you and say that he's feeling a bit jealous and left out. However, what comes out of his mouth is a question, "What was K to you?"

Bingo, you think to yourself, smile deepening as you replied, "My best and only friend. And also..." You pause, smile falling as you realise the next part might make him feel worse. Nevertheless, you had to be completely open. So you continue, "...also my first love."

Jungkook's body tenses, hurt flashing through his mind. His head was swarming with questions, his heart was filling with different emotions. Does that mean she loves him now, too?, Jungkook asks himself, not knowing the answer. Although he wished to ask you, he couldn't bring himself to. He was too scared of what your answer would be.

As if reading Jungkook's mind, you answer with a hint of assurance in your voice. "But you're my current love," You say, tightening your arms around him before continuing, "and those feelings aren't there anymore. He's simply an old friend."

Jungkook's body seems to relax when hearing that, satisfaction taking over his mind. He couldn't have asked for a better answer. He smiles to himself, arms also tightening around you before he mumbles, "Don't get too friendly with him."

His voice had dropped an octave, making the words he said appear more serious than they were. You click your tongue, a devilish smirk appearing on your face as you speak, "I can't promise that. I mean, we were pretty close as kids and even used to hold hands all the time."

Jungkook's eyes fly open, smile falling as a pissed off look appears on his face. He pulls back from the hug, looking at you with a slight glare in his eyes as he asked, "Are you planning on holding hands with him now?"

A snort escapes your mouth, amusement on your face as you watched Jungkook get angrier each passing second. "Of course not!" You answer, smile on your face before you speak again, "I might give him a reunion hug though."

And Jungkook was gone, burying his face in his blankets as he groaned in annoyance. His face turned an angry shade of red, his fists clenching. You laugh more at the sight, eyes softening as you lift him back up, hands cupping his face. "I'm joking." You explain, watching as he stared at you with a relieved look. You continue, "I'd much rather hug you."

A glowing smile appears on his face as he wraps his arms around you. You smile, holding onto him tightly.

Jungkook feels a relieved grin come onto his face as he realised you were in his arms. He wouldn't let go of you anytime soon.
