christmas was a couple days ago. i slowly got comfortable around diegos family and spain in general. diego was at practice with his s.c braga team preparing for their next up coming game.
he wasn't sure if he was going to get put in or just be benched. today he was going to find out if he was in the lineup or not. my heart raced feeling nervous for him.
"babe i need a goodluck kiss from you before i leave" he said grabbing his practice bag from the closet. he grabbed my face with both hands and smashed our lips together. after a good 15 seconds he pulled away and said goodbye while running down the stairs.
diego always left a mess of clothes everywhere before leaving to practice. i decided to clean while i waited for him to get home.
i put all the clothes that were on the floor on their hangers and hung them back up in the closet. i put some music on the tv while i cleaned.
as i hit shuffle on a playlist i had on youtube a very familiar song came on. a song that meant alot to me.
no se va.
instantly i thought of kevin and the others. i felt a wave of homesickness hit me. god i really miss them.
i got the broom and started brooming the floor as i sang along with the song lyrics.

after i finished cleaning i checked the time which read 2:35. diego should be on his way home at this time. i layed on the bed and waited as i watched tiktok.
"amor!! guess what!!" diego swung the door open, he almost left a hole in the wall. "did you make it in the lineup amor?" i immediately sat up.
"yes amor i did it amor!! i did it!!"
he wrapped his arms around me and i immediately started kissing his face as we both fell on the bed. he giggled as i continued to kiss his face. suddenly, he put his lips where mine were.
our lips both moved in sync together until we heard a bark. diegos arms were still wrapped around me but he looked down to see his dog with his tongue out wagging his tail.
he groans as picks up his dog. we both pet his dog as we talked. "so i was thinking in order to celebrate we should go to the beach and have a nice picnic?".
"of course mi amor you deserve it."
he smiled. "i got so lucky." he spoke leaning in for a kiss. that was until his dog got in the middle of us and licked diegos lips.
"ew gross" diego said wiping his lips with his practice jersey. i laughed and his dog tilted his head confused.
"im going to go shower" diego said standing up from the bed while taking his shirt off. i admired him until he got to the bathroom shutting the door behind him.

here i was on the beach wearing a white beach scarf on my waist with a plain white bathing suit under. while diego wore a pair of shorts. we held hands walking through the sand trying to find a perfect spot to place down our stuff.
it was an empty beach with lots of space.
"here seems good" diego said while placing down a beach towel.
the sun was setting down but it was still hot outside which was the perfect temperature for a picnic.
diego opened our picnic basket taking out all the snacks he had packed for us. sandwiches that his mom made, a bottle of wine, a cinnamon roll for dessert, and a bag of chips.
he took out wine glasses and started to pour the dark red liquid into the glasses. "cheers!" he said as we clicked our glasses together. i enjoyed the sound of the waves as i took a sip out of my wine.
i turned to look at diego to see him eating his sandwich while admiring me instead of the view in front of us. "what?" i smiled at him.
"you're so beautiful".
"i know" i said jokingly.
"no, i mean it."
there was silence for a couple of seconds. i didn't understand where this was all coming from. he always called me beautiful but this time it felt different.
"te amo."
suddenly it felt like the world stopped. i stopped chewing my sandwich and just stared at him.
"what.." i said swallowing my sandwich.
the suddenly we just started making out on the beach which lead to me on top of him. my hands ran through his hair while one of his hands gripped on my waist and the other made its way to my butt.
we pulled away staring at each other with pure lust. we smiled at each other seeing that our hair was all over the place.
as i stayed in his lap i took off my beach scarf as he had both hands on my waist.
"come on" i said lifting him up on his feet and pulled his hand as we ran towards the ocean.
we splashed around in the water laughing and messing around. as he stood there in the ocean i wrapped my arms around him while he held onto my waist.
we stared into each others eyes as a small breeze moved a piece of his hair that was covering his face.
"te amo diego lainez"
he had the biggest smile on his face and kissed me. we spent the rest of the night splashing around in the ocean.
