TODAY, we invited diegos family and my dad to have dinner with us. we were prepared to break the news to them today.
it was currently 6:45. they would soon start to arrive at 7:45.
of course, once the clock struck 7:00 diegos family had already arrived. my dad was running a bit late so we all just killed time together.
diegos dad was on his phone while me and my suegra just talked. we looked over to see diego with his older brother mauro playing video games on diegos portable console.
finally at 7:34, my dad had arrived with a tray of mac n cheese. he spent all that time making it while we waited for him.
diegos mom helped me set up the table while everyone got prepared to sit down.
once everyone got seated and had their food on their plate we all started to eat in quiet. my plate was slightly bigger than my plates before.
diegos mom kinda noticed that but just shrugged it off no wanting to assume anything.
diego was right next to me. he looked at me and i looked at him. he nodded at me and i simply nodded back.
"we have an.. um.. announcement" diego spoke. as he put his fork down. his family continued to eat as diego was preparing himself.
"we're going to have a baby." diego let the words escape his mouth.
diegos dad slightly choked on his food getting taken by surprise. his family was in shock as well as my dad.
diegos mom stood up giving a hug across the table. "felicidades a ustedes dos!!" she said as she hugged me.

NOW, four months later today we were finding out the gender of our baby. having a mini diego or a mini me scared me alot.
but i knew it would be a true blessing for both me and diego. diegos mom and her friends decorated the whole thing not wanting me to worry about a single thing.
me and diego weren't allowed to stay in the house for 3 days because they wanted the set up to be a surprise for the both of us.
me and diego both wore white to keep things neutral. even though diego really wanted it to be a boy.
me and diego got blindfolded early in the morning just so we could enter our own house to get ready there.
the party started at 4:30 and we were supposed to go down at 5:25.
once it was time to go down the inside of the house was filled with all my family and diegos family as well. of course, there was little kids running around as well.
we got walked to the backyard which was filled with blue, pink, and white balloons. the cake was a big three layer with a half pink and half blue side.
it was everything i had dreamed of. i thanked diegos mom and her friends for putting this all together in three days.
memo flew from italy just to spend this day with us and his family. everyone from la selección was here as well.
"ya es tiempo a ver si va ser nina o nino" diegos mom said as she handed both me and diego poppers.
a whole crowd formed around us with their phones out. a countdown started and when they got to zero we popped them at the same time.
which just revealed white powder. of course, it was kevins idea to play a prank on us. as he started dying of laughter along with alexis.
as we started laughing a firework went up in the air. i was a little startled but everyone watched them.
then suddenly both a blue and pink powder started to shoot up in the air. "van a tener gemelos!" diegos mom said almost dropping her phone from excitement.
my mouth dropped and diegos instant reaction was to hug me. we stood like that as fireworks still went up in the air.
it was an emotional moment but all i could hear is the guys cheering and celebrating. "VAN A TENER GEMELOS CABRONES!!" kevin yelled as he took his shirt off and started to swing it around like crazy.
memo, alexis, chucky, and everyone else joined in on their wild behavior.
