TODAY, la selección is playing against jamaica. three days ago the team traveled to Suriname to play against them.

while the game went on, everyone stayed back at the training facility to watch the game. unfortunately, i had to stay with them to make sure everyone was training.

once the game had started everyone dropped what they were doing and ran to the tv that was on the wall. everyone sat down on the grass with waters and powerades.

diego wasn't in the starting lineup but he did play for a couple minutes. once diego got subbed in everyone looked at me knowing i would be smiling.

loud cheering and whining was heard from the team. but we managed to win 2-0. everyone cheered and threw water everywhere.

once the game had ended, it meant everyone had to go back to the hotel. they all grabbed their training bags while all i had to grab was my clipboard.

once we had gotten to the hotel, the players were already in the lobby talking about their big victory. i congratulated everyone and finally got to diego.

he embraced me into a hug then a kiss afterwards. we talked about acevedo's great saves and all went into our rooms to rest.

NOW, today determines if we are out of the Nations League. everyone woke up early at 9 am to get ready for breakfast.

the game wouldn't start until later so it would give us a couple hours to prepare. i decided to wear my mexico away jersey which had "G.Ochoa" with his number on it.

diego had already finished getting ready before me and was outside talking with kevin. kevin had came to pick us up because we were always "late."

as i opened the car door kevin immediately opened his mouth. "por fin, ya mero son las 10 de la noche." of course kevin had to exaggerate about everything.

as we drove off kevin blasted his loud reggaeton music singing word for word of every song.

in the mirror diego would glance at me and smile to make sure i was doing okay.

once we got to the breakfast spot i immediately ran up to memo to give him a hug. he was like my second dad always taking care of me.

he noticed my jersey and laughed saying i was always his #1 supporter.

i took a seat and looked through the menu as diego sat on the right and kevin sat on the left of me.

everyone ordered big plates while i just got a burrito with carne asada, arroz, and frijoles. of course i had to get an agua de horchata as well.
