as y/n took her blind fold off her smile faded. she expected to go somewhere else.
"the beach!?" y/n looked diego waiting for him to say something.
"yeah! do you like it? one of the first ever places we visited together." diego looked over at y/n.
after having her babies she preferred being at home with the twins. but because diego insisted on going out she decided to do it for his sake.
"come on!" diego looked at y/n getting out the car. y/n followed diego's lead watching him pull out a basket from his trunk.
diego and y/n walked in the sand together with her hand interlocked together.
"remember this spot." diego pointed at a specific spot in the sand.
"it was where someone took pictures of us except that happened in spain." y/n laughed.
"same spot. different country." diego set down a towel in the spot.
diego and y/n sat next to each other admiring the ocean view. except diego wasn't actually admiring the view.
he was actually admiring y/n. she turned her head to look at him. "what?" she spoke shyly.
even after being together for so long she continued to feel shy around him.
"im just admiring my beautiful wife?" diego continued to stare at y/n.
"wife? you havent even put a ring on my finger." y/n laughed staring back at diego.
"that will change soon. sooner than expected." he looked at her as he spoke.
"oh yeah?" y/n questioned diego. she thought it was just one of diego's stupid ideas.
"yeah." diego whispered.
diego's staring made y/n's heart beat faster than usual. the pair's lips were soon touching.
diego deepened the kiss by pulling y/n onto his lap. it had felt like spain all over again.
after they had pulled away they stared at each other for a couple minutes. "your basket!" y/n pointed out.
she slid off of diego but kept her feet on his. "i got us your favorite!" he said pulling out two venti strawberry acai's out and a tray full of chocolate covered strawberries.
"oh my gosh diego!" y/n said wrapping her arms around him. diego kissed her cheek and continued to pull out food from the basket.
the main thing y/n was focused on was her starbucks. the two sat enjoying their snacks and talked about the memories they had made with each other.
the sun was starting to set which was their key to start walking around the beach. diego quickly went to drop the basket and blanket off at the car and ran back to y/n.
"lets go!" he spoke out of breath interlocking their fingers together. the beach was empty. the pair were the only ones on the beach together.
as they walked y/n noticed something ahead. she couldn't tell what it was as it was still pretty far.
each step they would get closer, closer, and closer. a bunch of lights were lined up leading the two to a big heart made of rose petals.
something glowing stood out to her. glowing letters to be exact. "will you marry me?" the letters spelled out.
y/n covered her mouth in complete shock. as the two faced each other diego grabbed both her hands smiling at her.
"y/n, although you thought we couldn't be together because of our jobs we made it work. im honored to call you the mother of my children. now will you do me the honor to be my wife?" as the words came out of diego's mouth he got down on one knee.
y/n stood there absolutely shocked and on the verge of tears. her body was filled with all different types of emotions.
"yes diego! yes of course, i'll marry you!"
once the words left y/n mouth he got up and placed the ring on her finger. he immediately kissed her with pure happiness.
clicking from all different angles were heard. diego had hired professional photographers to capture the moment.
thats when y/n's family and diego's family came running from the side. they were there to celebrate with the two.
"mis bebés! mira mis amores!" y/n showed the babies the ring as kevin held them. the twins attempted to touch the ring but y/n didn't want them to pull it.
everyone stood on the beach congratulating the now engaged couple.
years later.. y/n and diego continued their life. diego eventually retired and moved his family out of mexico. his querido sevilla , españa had been awaiting for the pair. of course, diego and y/n's kids jacky and mauro jr had followed along.
diego continued to get recognition and he became a coach for his favorite laliga club real betis. he was a strict coach but got the team far in tournaments.
diego preferred to stay in with his wife and kids. he loved to play futbol with his kids and still loved to lay in bed with y/n to talk about anything and everything.
not a day goes by where he can't stop admiring his perfect life with y/n. he knew y/n was his soulmate. even in the after life.
they both lived the happily ever after they wanted together.

can we appreciate this picture of randy and diego. like this was so random but omg i still can't believe they met randy. anyways!! this isn't the end well kinda but i wanted to do bonus chapters for their wedding and other stuff so stay tuned.
