in honor of christmas we all celebrate as a team together. this year my dad chose to host the annual christmas party as our house.
my dad got up early to get the carne asada ready. he had on a big north face jacket and some nice boots on.
memo came early to help us set up. memo was on the grill, while my dad seasoned the carne.
the party started at 7:30, i look at my phone and see it was barely 4:00. i better get ready now.
i hop in the shower letting the warm water hit my body. once i got out i changed into a black pair of flare leggings, my ugg boots, and a white long sleeve. on top of my long sleeve i put on a sleeveless puffer jacket. cant forget my jewelry too.
i did a light make up look not wanting to go too over the extreme. i looked at myself deciding if i should do a hair style or curl my hair.
i decided on doing two braids. i really liked how the outcome looked. as i looked at myself in the mirror i heard my door swing open.
"ya estas lista?" memo asked me standing at my doorframe.
"si como me vió?" i asked him turning my body completely towards him to face him.
"mija siempre te ves preciosa." he said cupping my face with his hands and kissing my forehead.
i smiled and held onto his hands rubbing them with my thumbs.
"we're gonna wait for you outside mija" he said giving me a quick smile.
with that he left my room.

i sat outside on my phone waiting for everyone to arrive when i heard alexis, kevin, and diego walk into the backyard. alexis spoke first holding up bottles of liquor in one hand.
"ya llegamos putos!!" alexis and kevin said walking in. behind them diego just shook his head holding a beer case.
"nombre está noche me voy a poner bien pedo" memo said laughing with alexis.
later on everyone arrived. some showed up with something in their hands or some showed up empty handed.
diego sat next to me as we all got ready to start setting up the table. half of the team was already drunk.
a plate was soon in front of me with rice, beans, and carne. in the middle were a big batch of tortillas wrapped in tin foil so they wouldn't get cold.
we all ate and laughed together as a family.
after we finished eating alexis brought out a speaker with a microphone. i sat there staring at his movements.
diego had his arm wrapped around me. a sniff of his cologne hitting me every time i took a breath. i wasn't complaining though.
"what is he doing.." diego whispered in my ear.
"no clue" i said.
a couple minutes later alexis and kevin were singing in front of everyone. they were absolutely wasted and you could see it.
they both sang "que vuelvas" by carin leon and grupo frontera. they both took turns singing.
eventually everyone started singing different songs. kevin sang "no llega el olvido" by jenni rivera he even started shedding tears.
he was a die heart jenni rivera fan. but so am i.

everyone started to pass out in the guest bedrooms or in the living room. me and diego stayed outside cleaning up the table so i wouldn't be stuck cleaning it in the morning.
"what a night" he said holding a trash bag while i filled it up with foam plates and other trash.
"i know it took a huge turn once the speaker came out" i spoke laughing.
"liquor and singing karaoke dont mix together good"
once we finished cleaning up i went into my room with diego following along. he knew how things would turn out so he bought extra clothes.
while he changed in my room i changed in the bathroom.
i walked in my room to see him setting up blankets on the floor. "what are you doing?" i asked him with a confused look.
"what do you mean im setting up my bed?" he said in a confused voice.
"come sleep in my bed" i said patting my bed.
"are you sure?"
"diego im more than sure"
with that he picked up all the blankets off the floor and put them on top of us. he laid on his back not knowing what to do. i laid my head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around me.
"goodnight diego" i said cuddling into him.
"goodnight beautiful" he said kissing my head and shutting his eyes.
we both fell in a deep sleep. quiet snores escaped from him, while i slept peacefully and warm.
