"Ustedes que piensan si salimos hoy a las 6:30?" diegos mom asked us both.

it was currently 7:23 am. me, diego, and the team were going to go workout at a private gym. diegos mom woke up early to let creed run around in the backyard and to give us our waters so we wouldn't forget.

diego looked at his mom in confusion not understanding what she meant by going out.

"como dicen los de estados unidos? double date?"

"ah! un double date con ustedes?" he asked her.

"si! si! mi amiga me dijo de este restaurante!"she said excited.

diego turned to look at me. i nodded assuring him i wanted to go.

"te vemos al rato pues!" diegos mom was excited. she kissed both of us on the cheek and pushed us out the door so she could start cleaning.

once we were outside the bus had already been waiting for us outside. "por fin!" kevin said turning to us.

"perdón" diego said laughing. he wrapped his arm around me and we boarded the bus.

"Guey entonces ella no sabe que te vas a regresar a mexico?"

"no! pues obvio que no! she left everything in mexico for me.. and now she has to leave everything in spain." diego looked over at his girlfriend who was warming up with her bestfriend alexis.

"but what really does she have here in spain to lose?" kevin looked down at diego who was sitting on a bench.

diego thought quietly to himself. kevin had a point. he just didn't want y/n to think she'll never be able to settle in one place. diego wanted to go far with y/n.

get married. start a family. and much more.

"have you even decided what liga your going to sigh with?" chucky asked interrupting diegos thoughts.

"tigres. i have to go in a couple days to mexico to finalize everything."

everyone supported diegos decision. whatever he thought was best for him they would support. hes young with potential. they wanted the best for him.

"no matter what, mijo we're gonna be here for you." memo patted diego on the shoulder.

diego couldn't help but look over at y/n again. the giant smile on her face she had when alexis and edson would fight, the way she would giggle, her smile was all he could admire.

would that smile fade away when he broke the news to her about moving back?

"diego! y/n! ya vámonos!" mary said waiting at the bottom of the stairs adjusting her husband's collar.

diego and y/n walked down the stairs hand in hand. diego had the biggest smile on his face knowing that tonight was going to be perfect.

"míralos!!" diegos dad said throwing his hands up while laughing.

"primero me quiero sacar unas fotos con ustedes!" diegos mom said pulling out her phone.

after a couple of photos being taken diego and his family decided it was time to leave. diego and his dad sat in the front making diego drive while his mom and y/n sat in the back.

diegos reggaetón music and chatter filled the car's atmosphere.

here and there y/n would catch diego looking at her through the rear view mirror. the jewelry she had on would bling in the dark.

soon they were pulling into the front of the restaurant. there a bunch of men awaited them. every man there opened each door and carefully shut them once everyone had gotten out.

diego handed them the key to the car and one of them got in taking the car to go get parked.

"reservation for diego lainez" diego spoke politely to a man who stood behind a standing table with menus on the side.

"ah yes! mr. lainez pleasure to meet you! right this way sir." the man had handed menus to one of the staff members that we had to follow.

once we had gotten inside the restaurant was filled with waiters carrying food and chattering of people. everyone was seated at rounded tables with white cloths and dressed in designer clothing.

i guess these are the perks of dating a rich famous soccer player.

"heres your table ill leave these menus here for you, i will return in 10 minutes to take your drinks and orders!" the waitress lead us to a booth with red seats and a small chandelier hanging above us. there were long white curtains that would cover us if we wanted a bit more privacy.

"wow this place is expensive" i whispered to diego who was sitting next to me. the prices were prices i wasn't used to as a kid or all.

"these prices are nothing." diego looked at me with a smile.

the service was very fast and the food was delicious. very pricey but worth it. we were all waiting outside for a worker to bring us back our car. we had heard the engine coming towards us.

diego's all black mustang was soon parked in front of us. a bunch of workers walked up the car opening the doors for us once again.

as we drove off diegos face looked tense and he would look at me in the rear view mirror once again. i smiled at him and he softly gave me one back.
