*Author's Note: Oh hey there. Where have I been lately? In the hell that is the final semester of college. I've trying to write little bits and pieces here and there for both stories when I had a few minutes of free time. When this will actually be posted, I have no idea. But yeah. I couldn't take not writing anymore. *

I walked around for about an hour before I decided to try to go back to the apartment again. I was waiting for the elevator to take me up to our floor when I heard someone clear their throat beside me. I turned around to see a very good looking guy that looked to be about 21 years old with chocolate brown eyes and brown hair. I smiled politely.

"Hello."

"Hi," he responded with a British accent. (A/N: Free imaginary cookies if you know who this is without me mentioning his name...) "I haven't seen you around here before. Did you just move in?"

"Yeah a few days ago. I just moved here."

"Oh? Where from?"

"Prince Edward Island."

He laughed softly. "I'm new to Canada actually. You'll have to tell me where that is."

I smiled. "East coast of Canada. Smallest province."

He nodded like he understood. "You like it so far here then?"

"Oh I love it. It's beautiful."

"Yeah the city is nice. It be better if my neighbour would stop arguing with his girlfriend constantly though."

I laughed. "Yeah. The person I moved in with sounds a lot like that."

The elevator finally came and we both walked in. We both went to touch the same button and laughed. "So how long have you been here?" I asked.

"About a month now. I'm originally from Manchester, but moved to London for a bit with my mate." (A/N: *hint hint*) "Then I decided to move here to change things up a bit."

"That's a lot of things to change," I said, laughing.

"True."

The elevator dinged when we reached our floor. He stopped at the door before Josh's and looked at me with a terrified expression. "Oh god, are you his girlfriend? I am so sorry about -" he said as he noticed me going to unlock the door.

"No. We aren't dating. I'm just living with him to help him with something he is working on."

He looked relieved. "In that case, do you think we could go out sometime?"

I smiled and walked over to him, handing him my phone. "Give me your number and I'll call you."

He smiled and put his number in, handing it back to me. "I'll look forward to it."

I walked back over to my apartment and waved as I went inside. I smiled as I closed the door, but my smile quickly fell.

I looked around the living room. There was a broken lamp. The TV had a huge crack on the screen. There was broken glasses in the kitchen. It looked like a tornado had gone through the apartment. I approached Josh's room quietly and timidly knocked on the door.

I heard him shuffling around inside before he poked his head out. His eyes were red from crying. He looked shocked to see me.

"What happened?"

He looked down at his feet behind the door. "Amanda."

I shook my head. "Have you seen what she did to the rest of the apartment?"
